I have about 9 cucumber plants growing in my garden and I am now seeing some small ones growing. i was wondering about how many on average do they produce per plant. Im hoping to use some of the plants for pickles but the others Im not sure about. I just need a rough idea of how many im going to have to deal with once they all start coming in.

Hi darcmay, impossible to estimate return per plant. I find that some plants produce more male flowers than female and that cuts the crop. It is possible to buy varieties that produce only female flowers. Femina is one type that I know off. If forced to give a figure I would guess at 6 to 8 fruits per plant. I hope you manage at least that.

It depends on the variety you planted and the estimated yields for that variety. As well as growing factors, not enough sun, water, soil ect.
There are also issues with bees in recent years so that could affect your yields also.
