Hi All, i have this question because last night i went to my friends house, i was shocked to see them dress nicely felt that they are going outside or came back but it was not the case.
Her mom was well makeup as if she has just came from a party. I dont know but i have seen many people stay like that. but in my case i will be like a ghost at home (home dress which is old not used outside, hair are tied on my head. no ornaments.
So how do you stay at home / wear/ please share

I'd just wear anything comfortable. Usually shorts, shirt/blouse, then hair tied, no make-up. Perhaps they wore that because they were expecting company. But I have also known of some people (particularly mothers) who wear make-up at home. Perhaps they're used to the idea and they feel naked without it. But for me, it's no make-up, and lesser formal attires.

If i'm at home and have no intention of going out or meeting people or anything, i will happily throw on a pair of sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt to just lounge about in. It's gotta be about the comfort first, why dress up for no reason? I always stay clean and shower every day, but i don't see the point of dressing up without a cause :)

Because it is summer I wear shorts and a t-shirt. If it were fall or winter, I would wear jeans instead of shorts. I use flip flops as slippers. The t-shirts I wear around the house are slightly bigger than the t-shirts I wear out.

I usually like to stay comfortable no matter the situation, but that doesn't mean I don't wear something nice. If I have company over I don't want to seem rude so I wear pants and a t-shirt, but if it is just me I just wear shorts or something like that.

LOL, Well I usually put makeup on no matter what (unless I'm in a crummy mood) but I don't dress up (as if I were going to a party..) in my own house! I usually just wear sweats & a tank top or shorts & a tank top or something like that. Nothing fancy. What's the point?

hi maezee, you are right . i feel when you are at home stay like as if you are at home not in office or party.
we feel good when we go to office and party fully dressed, if we are same at home and office - the feel good factor will not work. thanks for the responce

Wow. She was wearing makeup? That's crazy for just staying at home. I completely understand that someone would wear makeup if they were going to go out of have already been in out in the day. Some people just wear make up every day so it's hard to get out of the pattern. I guess it's a form of a safety net.
I like to wear whatever is comfortable when i'm home because i like to be able to relax. I take off my socks and usually change into pajamas of a casual dress. If it's colder i will wear sweat pants and a tank top. I don't dress up unless i'm about to go out or i'm having people over for a nicer event.

I only wear makeup if I'm going out. But if I'm staying in at home nothing , but a T-shirt and a pair of shorts and lay around the house.

It's funny how I've changed over the years. Years and years ago I would get all dressed up (though no make-up) even if I was staying home all day, so in other words looked rather "proper"--now if I stay home wear an over-sized tee shirt and undies and walk barefoot...LOL

I always wear cool clothes. By that, I mean, the ones that I don't go out with. Our house is really hot so, I often wear thin fabric clothing. When I go out, I really change my outfit into somthing else, something that I don't wear at home since, if I do, I'd be sweating so much.
I guess I have my house get up as well as my going out get up.

Hey,
Well at home I just wear usual clothes, nothing fancy though. But it doesn't really vary that much comparing with the clothes that I wear when I go outside. I usually try and stay inside very comfortable. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I wear comfy shirt and shorts. I don't wear my make up. Since I have a very short hair, I usually wear a headband to make my bangs stay away from my eyes. I also just wear my home slippers and be as relax as I can be.

If I am at home and have no intention in going out at all, I'll wear something presentable and comfy. There's always someone coming over to my house starting from the postman to my grandparents. I can't show up at the door wearing something that can give them a heart attack (at least, my grandparents will feel that way~~~) Besides, I have to set a good example to my younger siblings.

Well, I guess it depends on the day for me, but most of the time it is comfy. If I have to go somewhere that day, I will normally just dress nice for the day and if I just want to surprise my hubby then I will dress up too.

i dont wear makeup unless occasionally so staying made up at home is out of question.I have different sets of clothes to be worn at home and for going out.Usually im in my cotton clothes, a tee and shorts which i am comfortable in .According to me i think madeup ladies at home are the "dolls" types lols..who either have too many helpers to get their things done and are the spoild brats who cant do a thing on thier own.Men should stay away form such ladies...they normally turn out dangerous...hahaha (thats just my opinion)

When I am at home and no one is coming I do not wear makeup and wear sleep pants and a tee or shorts and a tee and sandals. If I go out I put on make up and a nice pair of jeans. I always wear clothes that not dirty or torn, because someone could show up at the door unexpected and I wouldn't want them to see my dirty.

ever since my child started going to school i've been hoarding clothes that i can wear at home but still be suitable in picking my child from school. they are also clothes that i can dash to the mall with. time is important. even more important now being a stay at home mom with chores and my child's studies to guide him with. not to mention my 16 online money making sites. however, since i switched soaps i don't wear powder at home anymore. i just wear an eyeliner and a lipstick. this is my get up during weekdays.
on weekends it's basically the same without the make-up of course .

well,i can be pretty horribly dressed at home sometimes.
not sure why ,but it is only when i go out that i make sure i am well dressed. i would definitely try and change this habit of mine.
