Have you ever think that your boss not clever then you ?

I am a regional sales manager in consumer goods company. I achieve my position after seven years as a salesman. I always proof to my boss that I am really understand how is my customer, what they need. But actually I often dissent opinion with my new boss. I can't understand how can he make this resolution which is make my customer very angry and disappointed. I think he does not understand his job better then me. Have you ever think that your boss not clever then you ?

My last boss ran a railroad and, while she was much smarter than I am when it came to the railroad itself, she was a moron when it came to anything related to the computer which is why she hired me. The problem was that she was stuck doing things the same old way and would not even entertain the idea of change. The reports I generated for her were huge, the date hard to locate and hard to read because the font was so small. I could have easily corrected that problem for her but she was stubborn so I hope she's happy continuing to suffer from needless eye strain.
