I love to read true ghost stories, or anything of the paranormal that's true. UFO's, demons, etc...I find to be very fascinating...however, I don't necessarily want the experiences to happen to me!!! What do you like to read? I tend to alternate between fiction and non-fiction. What paranormal reading do you recommend? Take care!!! and don't be scared!!!!

Ann Rule's daughter, Leslie Rule, traveled across the US and visited all of the haunted places she could find, both famous and obscure. She wrote about all of them in a collection called Coast to Coast Ghosts. It's a travel journal so if you don't like that kind of writing it's probably not going to suit you but if you do, it's pretty interesting to read her first-hand accounts. Some were "successful," others not so much, which I think adds to the book because she didn't have encounters at every place she visited. I have trouble believing accounts where every single time the person goes out to find something, they do.

I would love to read that!! I read her mom, Ann's true crime books. And I do like to read travel journals, too, so I'd like that, I'm sure. Thanks for the tip!

This one is fiction... but I have a feeling you might like it. Ever read "The Time Traveler's Wife?" That's a pretty interesting read. And as far as movies, ever seen "1408"?

I mostly read Science Fiction and Fantasy. I do occasionally read ghost stories. Charles de Lint, who is primarily a Fantasy writer (in a modern setting mostly) has some good stuff...

i like some ghost story books. there was one in the '70's called the Mirror. about this girl that got an antique mirror from her grandmothers estate and when she looked into it, she went back in time and became her grandmother! it was so cool. but cant remember who it was by.

I usually just read fiction when it's my choice. Usually the only time I read non-fiction is when I have had to in the past like for classes or whatever. But paranormal stuff is about the only non-fiction readings I am more than happy to read about too. I'm interested in stuff like that as well.

Thanks! I just got back ffrom a trip to Maine and bought 2 books about hauntings in Maine. Of course, there were a few haunted lighthouses. Also, we were in the desert of Maine, and that's haunted too. I just got done reading a great book called Hell House. It has many true paranormal stories from around the world. Some of them are sooooo creeeeepy...I loved it!!!!
