It depends upon on what that I am reading. If the books that I am reading is a medical book, I would really fall asleep real quick. But if I am reading a romantic or mystery novel, then I would really read until my eyes would get tired. Studies have shown that when you read to your babies even while they are still in your tummy, they would grow up intelligent.

It helps a lot reading a book while your pregnant but it depends on how the child grows up.Reading is kinda tiring but it's not when you read interesting books, romance or love stories.Sometmes when I'm eager to sleep reading helps me get asleep....

I love to read, but now mainly just read when in bed. It helps me wind down after my day and get to sleep easier. During the day I'm flitting around doing many things at once and don't take the time to sit and do any one thing for more than a few minutes, so reading then wouldn't do much good. I'm here and there on the computer (again multi-tasking at several different things), in the garden, tending to vegetables or flowers, messing with my pup, whatever. Reading at night is the best solution for me anymore.

Hi aweins, I love to read at all times of the day. I read a lot and keep collecting more and more books. I never fail to buy at least one book when I go out shopping. I love to read at least a few pages before I go to sleep. There have been times when I have been alone at home and went on reading all through the time lol. It is the same with my entire family. My children love books and reading and spend a lot of time reading at home in their own favorite spots..

Back when I was younger I loved to read books which looks interesting to me. I prefer to read feel good books such as books written by Mitch Albom and another author to which I forgot the name. I also stopped reading because it all started when I had my son. Now that he is older I still hardly read because of work or reading a book to my son before he sleeps.

i used to read books before going off to sleep but i always lied down and then read the book. This caused a series of health problem and then suddenly the habit completely vanished :| But i do make it a point to read my favorite novels when ever possible and i i end the day by responding to some good discussions before i go off to sleep :)

I used to read myself to sleep sometimes because reading usually makes me sleepy. I think it is a way my body would rather shut down than get a headache. But now I try not to use this to my advantage, since I'm trying to train myself to stay awake to read. It is annoying when I'm studying for something and suddenly I wake up at 4am with a horrible ache in my neck and I realize I've been sleeping on a book for 4 hours.

Hello friend, I like to read before going to bed but then it is not that I can't sleep without it. I like to read a novel occasionally and it takes me about a fortnight to be done with a Dan Brown novel or something like that. Thus, in that period, I always go to bed after reading.

I love to read too but when I get into bed and start to read about the second page in I'm falling asleep. Thats why it takes me forever to read a book now adays. I have a few books waiting on my nightstand for me to read. I like autobiographies, mysteries, and crimestories.

I love to read in bed! I love biographies, true paranormal and ghost stories, history, geography, current events, fiction of all kinds, etc., etc. I am a bookworm, I find reading in bed very relaxing. By the way, good luck on your new baby! I'm sure she'll be a great reader, too...or maybe a writer???
