Writing papers

I find now that I am returning to school that I have to write a lot of papers. I love to write but sometimes I look at them and wonder what I got myself into. :) My newest paper that I have to write is a "My Past, Present, and Future". I hate writing about myself. Have you had to write about yourself? Did you enjoy it?

I don't really enjoy writing about myself. While it can be easier because it is (obviously :)) familiar, it can be challenging because you don't want to sound conceited, dishonest, etc. I definitely prefer research papers.

Hi Thanks for commenting. You're exactly right. While writing about one's self can be enlighting, I don't enjoy it. Give me a subject that I don't know about then I am happy as can be. As I am writing my paper I find myself going "I am who I am, why do I have to write more?" LOL Oh well it's worth 40% of the grade so all I can say is...off I go to write about me.

I haven't HAD to write about myself, however I have written about myself and enjoyed doing it. Although, it's only because of certain situations that I've gotten into and have experienced and basically written for a "warning" for others. I just started back to school myself. I really don't like English because I don't like reading, nor do I enjoy writing about things that I'm forced to write about. If I was told to write a paper, I could do it enthusiastically, but not when I HAVE to write about certain things.

Hi thanks for commenting. Writing about myself is hard but with the class I am in (Adult Development - required course) we have to write about ourselves and how we have developed throughout our life. I don't like it. Give me any other subject matter and off I go. I love to write research papers because I love to read and do research but not much to research about myself. Just digging into my past and how that helped or hindered my development into adulthood. :)
