ABOUT ANIMAL NEGLECT!!! These two so called "humans" need their a$$es kicked, turned in or something!!
I've not been over to their house well in a long time, ( long story ) today I stopped by on my way home, and that poor Dog is just a mess, she has mange all over her
and my niece kept saying well she looks like that because she's been shaved,
do I have STUPID RETARD tattooed on my forehead? OMG!!
I know the difference between a shaved dog and one that is suffering with MANGE..
HELLO????????????
I got so mad at her LAZINESS I just wanted to shake her, I still want to turn them both in that's how mad I am at them;
this is not the first time this dog has suffered with MANGE...DUH!
Yes they do shave her of a summer time, and she is an indoor dog, but she is chewing the hide off of herself, her underbelly is the worst and that is not an area THEY SHAVE, besides which where she had been shaved the hair has grown back
except for the area's/patches of THE MANGE AREA'S...DUH DUH AND DUH!!
Not only that this poor Dog has always had REALLY REALLY LONG NAILS..I mean really
long nails and my lazy butt niece this is HER DOG...always whines that well she is so hard to manage to trim those nails blah blah blah blah and blah...
I've been there many a time over the years to hold the dog while she clips her nails I told her she needed to get one of those pet trimmer things they advertise all the time now, " no response" I'm just wasting my breath on her;
Not only that I found I don't know how many sores up under the dogs ears where she has scratched herself to death, I asked for some stuff to put on there, if she is too afraid to treat her own dog I will do it, stupid nit!!
I had to treat both ears as she just had so many sores under there from her scratching with those long claws/nails of hers...poor dog!!
Then she got the leash to take her out to potty and I nearly hit the ground on that one, taking the dog out to pee consists of the dog doing her business off the leash while my niece stands on the front door step...OMG!! OMFG!! LAZY LAZY LAZY LAZY!!
To be honest, when she was a teenager she had a puppy ...the dog died within 6 months of its life as it was not fed nor watered I had no idea as they lived 45++
miles from me at that time...when I did find out, I NEARLY HIT THE ROOF...I WAS
LIVID WITH HER FOR A LONG LONG LONG TIME AT THE MIS TREATMENT OF AN ANIMAL LIKE THAT.
AND then several years later she got this puppy dog she's part chow, and Part I forget LOL!!
But this dog is a mess and I feel so sorry for her, I really do;
Like I said I feel like turning my niece in for LACK OF TREATMENT to her own dog;
I feel like throwing her 28 year old body over my knee ( OUCHEE) and beating her butt til she bleeds from not caring for her pet...yeah that sounds brutal but I'm thinking she deserves it, I'm surprised that she feeds and waters her...but I did check on that and the dog does have food and water and that's because I guess her husband does that...
Why can't those 2 lazy-butts care for their dog??
would they like to suffer with MANGE?
Would they like their CLAWS/NAILS to be hideously long???? I MEAN LONG LONG NAILS!
AArrGGHHH!
These two have been trying to have a baby for the last two years and I'm here to tell you, THEY ARE NOT READY TO RAISE A CHILD...they can't take care of the dog
and well like most couples they have some MAJOR ISSUES right now...UGH!!
I'm just so flippin mad at her, and HIM!!!

I'm thinking about it...
Yeah she was allowed to get a puppy right after Their Father passed away
you know my brother back in 1995, and their Mom has MS...she could not see or get out back to where the poor thing was kept until it was too late...a neighbor
reported the really bad smell...
sad ain't it?? I'm just so SHOCKED and embarrassed and PIII!!!!!!ssssseeeedd AT HER AND HER IDIOT HUSBAND!!!
I have enough "crap" going on I shouldn't have to monitor my niece to make sure she is taking care of her dog, I'm surprised the dog has lived to be 8 years old...you know??

Something needs to be done about them. They are pretty much killing that dog and that is a terrible thing. If someone gets a dog they need to love and pay attention to it. I find it terrible that people would treat a dog so poorly, I don't even see how it is possible.

Hi Bobbo: I agree I really do and I hate it that this person is my niece too!!
Supposedly her husband is gonna shave Sadie again this week sometime?? and then when he does he'll treat her with this special shampoo or whatever it is they use on her, I know they get it from the VEt, none of my dogs have EVER had this sort of problem, thankfully...
At least her dog is inside in the AC but still I know she is just stir crazy!!
poor dog!! It makes me really sad and UPSET to say the least!

You have to report them, that poor dog, dosen't matter that you are related that dog can't get away or tell someone they are suffering. The quicker that dog gets help, the quicker it can mend both physically and mentally and be looked after by people who will love them. If they were my neighbours i would do that and also if she got pregnant i would be phoning social services straight away, i wouldn't take any risks with cases like baby p and all, when something could have been done

HI Oconnell: I know its just making me sick inside to think that I'm even related to her sometimes I mean she is 28 years old now and its time to WAKE UP and take responsibility...
She said her husband is supposed to be shaving her again and then give her a bath which is when they treat her, WHOOOPPEEE DOOO!! She needs it now not in a couple of days and she could do it, after all its her dog...she's just horribly lazy!
If my back and neck was not in such a mess I'd do it myself but if I got down
on the floor like that over the tub someone would have to be there to help me
up ..LOL! Then I'd have to go home and take pain pills and muscle relaxer's and then go see my chiropractor the next day...then I'd have to kick my niece again for allowing this to go on AGAIN with her dog, you'd think the VET would say something to them too as often as they get this special shampoo or whatever it is they treat her with when they bathe her, I honestly don't know what one has to use none of my dogs have ever had mange...its just awful!!

That's just sad. Lazy or is she just that stupid? Seriously. I'd report them anyway. This poor creature has suffered enough. There are animal rescue places that take abused and neglected animals.
I'd contact them. Family or know family, you know it's wrong and this animal is suffering.

HI there: I know its wrong I'm giving them a few days to see if they do in fact shave the dog again, and treat her with the meds that they have, and if not I guess I'll just have to take matters into my own hands and teach them a vital lesson in life, the dumbas$$ES!
They are indeed that LAZY & Yep that stupid...they really are;

I am pity to that dog.How can they do that to their pet like that?Even they are animal,your niece and her husband should take care that dog because it is also live and breath like human too.I think maybe you should take the dog and take care it.It is the better way of this problem.Like you have said,this couple should not have a baby because they cannot take care their own pet,so how can they take care their children...have a nice day.

HI Hannah: you're right it is pitiful for sure;
I would gladly take Sadie if I could, where I'm at now I am allowed the one pet and that is my Cat she is my baby;
My other pets are out at my Father's farm my two dogs and one other cat, my
nieces dog is not an outdoor dog, she could be in time but she has always been inside and is used to the A/C and Heat in the wintertime you know?
It would take her awhile to adapt to the outdoors it could be done but My Father would just have a COW if another pet/animal showed up out there on his place
he is 82 years old now and not a happy person at all...his health is bad and he's just an angry man anyway most of the time I just don't know, but I do know this
I am giving them a few days to make things better for the dog and then I'll cross that bridge if things have not improved for Sadie I just feel so badly for her;
she's a good dog and a great watchdog;

I feel so sorry for this poor dog! I don't blame you for being so upset! These people ought to be reported sure enough! I wouldn't care if they are members of my family. Do youall have a humane society in your area? If it were me, I would go ahead and call the humane society, if youall have one, and they will go out and check on the situation. They sure don't deserve to have a child if they can't take care of a dog! I'd be taking this dog to the vet or something. Kathy.

hi kATHY; no, silly you didn't upset me I was just exhausted and went to bed early last night and even right now I'm so tired I can barely stay awake here and I need to be "active" on here a lot today in order to reach payout...AAhh it sucks to be me!
No, money is not the issue for them her husband has three jobs, she was working as a hair stylist made good money, had a meltdown and quit her job she is supposed to go back to work in about another month I think? But with her you never know??
they have a great Vet, so no that's not the issue either or money its just
plain and simple PURE LAZINESSSSSSSS!!! No kidding!! Lazy lazy lazy!
as I said here and I've said this all along, they do NOT need a baby at this time when they can't really take care of themselves or the dog, they do NOT need to bring a child into this mess of a marriage that its become..(sigh)!!
but no you didn't upset me I just had to crawl off to bed, my body was in so much pain my head was killing me and I just had to hang it up for the day (G)!
I'M A PUSS!!

I understand if you feel like you would be betraying your deceased brother. If they take the dog to the vet to give him/her shots, etc., you would think they would want to treat the dog for mange as well. This is beyond me. Is money a problem? If they can't afford to keep a dog, they don't need one. As you know, yourself, it takes money to raise animals. Kathy.

I hope I didn't upset you by asking you if money was a problem with your niece and her husband. If I did, I'm sorry. I just thought that might be the reason why she wouldn't have the dog treated for mange. Like one of the mylotters here said, if she couldn't treat the dog, she should give her away.
The vet I use will set me up on a payment plan if I can't pay the full amount. Not many vets will do this and I think this is nice. Kathy.

Hi there Sweet I am glad that you are going to do this, I am ok now lol I just get so upset when I hear People doing this to the poor little things, they can not defend themselves at all, they are like Babies, children, they rely on us to take care of them and protect them
Hugs to you

HI Gabs: I know its a terrible situation if you have some time scroll back up and read some
posts and replies and that will fill you in more on my niece and why I've just not turned
her butt in;
But I will be going over there tomorrow and check on dear Sadie, and if all else fails
I will take care of the dogs needs myself, finish breaking my neck and back, go to the chiropractor, and give them the bill afterwards..LOL! Sounds fair right?
but one way or another she will get treated, I wish I could say it was the first time but its not its a yearly thing for this dog; (sigh)!!
I just hate it I really do;
I would never let such a thing happen to my babies never in a million years..
they are just lazy lazy lazy and stupid!!
Sorry it upset you but I do understand...Give little Gissi a hug from me
and tell her I'd never let that happen to her or any of my darlins!!
no matter what they did or destroyed in my home...LOL!! I still love them!!

Don't think about it, do it, - TURN THEM IN. It is disgusting for a dog to be treated that way. Trying to have a child - sounds to me like if they do DCFS will be a regular visitor in their home. Instead of having a child I think they should both be sterilized.

Hi there us2owls: I agree whole heartadly with what you are saying!
yeah I've thought about that too that if/when/God I hope not, if they ever had a kid then DCFS might be involved too I just don't know surely to God they'd do better with a kid, they both are wonderful when they keep her friends kids over night or for a week, scary I know but its true;
I just don't understand their lack of caring when It comes to the dog's well being and I feel like a cad if I turn them in and would be betraying my deceased brother
Her Father, he's been deceased now for 14 years, she is/was a screwed up kid/adult
for a long time and now too might be facing a separation, good grief!!
I just don't know what to do but I am going to check on Sadie Tomorrow and will be treating her ears again myself;
I guess if I have too I can man/handle her into the tub myself, with my neck and back injuries it won't be fun, and then I can go see my chiropractor and then give my neice the bill for it...LOL!! Yeah that'll work too!
OH and then rant and rave at her again for being so stupid and lazy with the dog!
ugh!!!

if you scroll up and read a few posts and replies you'll see why I'm struggling with
turning her lazy butt in...

Wow! I don't know if I am more mad, than I am sad, or perhaps a little of both. There is nothing worse than neglecting an animal (of course other than a human) however there is no excuse for this. If you can't handle a pet than at least give the pet away to someone that will love it and take care of it. My dear little Bella is the love of my life (besides my children) and she is so loved and taken care. We all treat her like one of the family. A dog having the mange should be a criminal offense...which actually it can be in some cities...I watch a lot of Animal Planet. Anyways, as far as taking care of the nails....my dog's nails stay trimmed just by us walking her as they stay trimmed by the concrete of the sidewalk. We do take her to the vet and they trim her nails (yes, I am a baby and won't do it myself...I am so scared I will hurt her)...but nevertheless, if you properly care for your pet by taking them routinely to the vet, they trim the nails for free! There is no excuse for your neice not taking care of her pet...shame on her!!!!!

Hi gedsjardin: I know I agree with you 100% its just really sad I struggled with this all night long as to what do I do ???
I dearly love all of my pets too, they are my family more than my "human family" you know?
This dog has an attitude and as far as I know the vet there has never trimmed her nails maybe when she was younger I'm not sure, but they are and have always been way too long they curl up you know?
The two of them just "act" like everything related to the dog is such a chore
they say they love her and I guess they do but of late they have just been neglecting her as far as I can see, I'm sorry now I did not get over there more this past year and check on the dog, but I shouldn't have too you know?
they both are old enough to take care of her, its just really really pathetic!
Darrell used to be really good about taking her for long walks but even then her nails did not stay trimmed at all, now my two dogs are out at my Father's farm
seeing as how I now have to live in town and even when I was living out in the country too, I've never ever had to trim any of my dogs nails, they've always
had the freedom to run all over the place you know? Makes a big difference;
I still don't know what I'm gonna do, I really don't...

As mad as you are I'm surprised that you haven't reported them. This is the worse case of animal cruelty I have ever heard of. How can one let this happen to their dog. This can make me cry. Why do people have pets if they are not going to take care of them. I surely hope they don't have kids because the kids won't be treated any better. Please you need to report them! Let me know what you end up doing!

Hi Lelin: I understand what you are saying and I agree with you all the way!
This niece is my deceased Brother's oldest daughter and he has been gone now for 14 years and I just feel as if I'm betraying him in some odd way you know?
I've had to be more of a Mother/Father to her anyway than just an Aunt but at times
I want to disown her too does that make sense?
if she and her husband do not take care of this dog's needs in a few days I will address this situation again I will be watching and checking in on Sadie now that I know she is just more or less being IGNORED while they p!ss around and do their own thing, they are also in the middle of a breakup? divorce?? who knows for sure
they both need the crap slapped out of them to WAKE UP and SHAPE UP! LOL!!
Yeah they really really do NOT need any kids, I've been praying a long time
that please God do not let them bring an innocent child into the world they just are not ready, maybe it would help them I don't know I've seen others that were not ready and they turned out to be great parents more or less you know?
maybe it would KICK IN THEIR MATERNAL GENES????

Hi Ogibarra: My oldest brother has a maltese too they are sooo cute!!
what if you used baby shampoo would that hurt her by showering her every day?
Well I did have it out with my niece about the DOG like I have in previous visits
all these years but most of it goes in one ear and out the other, I just didn't
type out the whole conversation here as I knew mypost was already getting long
and the whole issue is/was/still is bothering me so much I just don't know what to do of course I want to do what's best for Sadie the dog, and then on the other hand I feel like I'm betraying my deceased brother who I loved dearly by turning in his lazy butt daughter for neglect because her and her husband are LAZY!
so what the heck do I do??.

You are right...a person who doesn't seem to be able to take care of a dog won't be that good with a baby. I hope for heaven's sake this person will learn how to be loving and caring before becoming a mother.

I have one question for you - why are you telling all this in an open forum instead of telling someone that can do something about it?
REPORT HER!!!
I'm not saying don't come here and vent, but if that's all you do, you are just as guilty of mistreating that animal as she is. If you know that the dog is not being cared for, it is your duty to tell the authorities.
