Phil Jackson surpassed Red Auerbach with 10 championships so why not rename the Championship Trophy?

yes, i know what your talking about. their thinking about changing the nba logo. i think their trying to update the nba to make it look more modern so they won't be stuck in the past. i wouldn't mind the nba logo being changed to show Michal Jordan but making too many changes wouldn't be a good thing.

Hey elmiko! I know what you're saying, but I don't know if
they will just rename the trophy even though Phil Jackson
did surpassed Red Auerback by a year! It would be nice, but
I'm not sure it works like that! I guess we'll have to see
if they do decide to rename the trophy! Either way I'm sure
that Phil Jackson is just happy to have it!

yeah i really don't think Phil Jackson could care whether they rename it to his name or not as his place in history has been made. i didn't think he would win 10 championship with how bad things were going with the Lakers around the beginning of last year. i guess it was me being stuck in the moment of how bad they were before they made the trade to get Paul Gasol.

It's an interesting thought but I think it would take away from the tradition of the sport. Football hasn't renamed the Lombardi trophy. Lord Stanley I don't think even played hockey. I lived in a city once where every time an important politician croaked they renamed an important street after him. It was a little crazy.
