How well do/did you know your grandparents????

Just this morning I was thinking how little I knew my grandparents. Oh I knew them as old and during my life but I know very little about them before I was born. I knew my fathers mum well because I spend lots of time with her and she was open about her life and told me lots about her childhood and later life. Her husband my grandfather I know most things about him from other people he died when I was 12 but he never spoke of his pass. He was a orphan and his father remarried maybe thats why he never spoke of his pass. My mothers parents also never spoke of their pass, but now I know that I should have asked more questions. Because whenever I asked something they would tell me. Like I was the only one in the family to know that there was another baby that my grandmother lost. But been a child it never crossed my mind to ask many questions like that. Now all 4 of them are gone and I will never get the chance to ask them what I want. If yours are alive please ask them questions or you might be in the same place like me one day. So how well do you know them?
