If someone locked me up for any amount of time and I was innocent, you can bet I would sue them for everything I could get!! How do you get back that time you've lost while you were wrongfully locked up?!

I think the system needs to be revamped some how because to many innocent people are going to jail and its just not fair. The millions of dollars they may get is not going to give them the years they lost. How many marriages have broken up over this. How many kids grew up without their parents. I can't imagine losing years of my life living in a prison for a crime I did not commit.

" i believe we are still so innocent. the species are still so innocent that a person who is apt to be murdered believes that the murderer, just before he puts the final wrench on his throat, will have enough compassion to give him one sweet cup of water." this is according to maya angelou...
i think that the person is innocent as long as he thinks he's so...
in our country, innocence in the court lies in the hands of good lawyers...
sadly, i've known a lot of criminals acquitted from their cases just before they knew it, all beacause they can afford to hire good lawyers,..
my intelligent mama (literally. like that who graduated from a good school with flying colors) is even deceived by my papa who's not even a lawyer yet, how much more the court who only requires evidences and not conscience (i mean the super ego)... kidding aside i pity those who were misjudged.. i really do....
