Well mylotters,
I wanted to get my paypal account verified but then it accepts debit card only from the banks belonging to the US and it needs a credit card for verification for other countries.......well i don't have one and cant get one as i am a student and don't have adequate funds in my bank to get approved for the same......
So I was looking for a virtual credit card which can help me get my paypal account verified, but they all cost not less than $6-$7 which is probably what i make every month........
During my search I came across a site which claims that i could get my paypal account verified using VCC and that they are giving it for FREE OF COST, you just need to register with them, no offers, nothing, just fill in the details and you will get your own VCC for free in 2-3 business days.......I am not really sure how legit they are.......Has anyone tried it ????
Have you been successful enough......if you know any other method where I could get my paypal account verified I would really be glad.......

If you have a savings account with HDFC Bank, you can create your own VCC for free. You need an ATM Card (Debit card) and funds in your account. You can create upto 5 VCCs daily. You can set the credit limit of the card. (You can create a VCC with a credit limit of even Rs.100) The validity of the VCC is just 24 hours (though it says something like 09/09 on the Card) or single use. That is, if you use the VCC for making payment within 24 hours, the validity expires immediately after the transaction. So, you may not be able to utilise the balance amount. It returns to your SB account.
Go to HDFC bank's official website and look for 'Netsafe/Verified By Visa' option. You'll have to register once. While registering, you'll have to give your ATM card details.
By the way, does paypal allow a VCC to verify your account? I think, it won't lift the limits.

Hi John...well my friend I have never heard of anything like this VCC you speak of and I would be afraid to be giving out any personal infomation to a site I knew nothing about and did not have a friend that has done business with this site.
My motto has always been "If it is to good to be true, it probably is."
I can only tell you to be careful

Hi John!
May I ask what country are you from?
A lot of banks in different countries even outside the US offer cards that you could use to link in your paypal account - they have not just credit/debit cards but also electronic cards (e-cards), even ATM cards, e-wallet, etc.
I don't advise you to join those sites who offer VCC for free. They are most likely to be scams. And you will end up losing all the money you have.
Happy MyLotting!

Nothing is free, i think the site you are talking provides vcc freely will stole your identity, i have also heard from people this type of complain. So i you want to verify your paypal account then go for vcc which will be done in very low cost, i have also verified my account with vcc and its fine.
If you are interested contact me i can provide it in low cost.

It's a scam, don't even bother. Most of those sites are hosted in China. The sole purpose of them is to get some info for identity theft. Stay away and you'll be cool. There's no such thing as VCC.
As for you problem I would open a student bank account. Notrmally they have low mothly rates. Good luck.
