duct tape

have you ever used duct tape for art or craft projects? i saw this great book in the library where they used duct tape as book covers, made duct tape into ties, used it to cover furniture. what a great medium!

I saw a lady on a craft show make a purse and matching wallet once, and I decided to try to make the wallet. It turned out really cool, actually. Also I saw a true life on MTV about a girl who made her prom dress out of duct tape. With all the different colors available, the possibilities are endless.

There's photos floating around the web of Prom couples in Duct tape outfits,which seems a bit odd on first glance,and seems to attract smarta$$ comments..Later,I read something about Duct Tape offering scholarships to eligible students? I haven't researched this online yet,but it seems like a plausible explanation for those photos!

I haven't used duct tape for any art or craft project. The items I make are made with plastic canvas and yarn so really don't have any need for the tape. I saw something on television quite some time ago where all the guy's furniture was made with duct tape and boxes. It was pretty interesting.

I just tend to be conventional and boring with duct tape,and simply use it to patch stuff up! A Gadget site I check out occasionally comes up with some weird and wonderful stuff,and not so long ago I recall seeing a "Genuine Duct tape Wallet" in one of their email flyers!

Hey cher! I must admit that I have used duct tape, but only
to fix things that I need to hold together! I would have
never thought to use it for anything like you have seen it
used for! To cover furniture? I just can't picture that?
It is nice sturdy tape, but not all that attrative even
though it does come in some nice colors!
