Anyone else getting tired of this Michael Jackson hysteria?

Everywhere you go all people talk about is Michael Jackson's death, all news reports and newspapers are giving new constantly about the subject. Come on people, enough is enough, I understand he was an idol to many people, and that he was the king of pop etc etc, but this is just too much. Do you really care if he was the father of his babies or how much he weighed at the time of his death? The man died, let him rest in peace. Can't people give him an eulogy, move on and put their effort on making this world better for the living instead of trying to get all the dirt on someone who is diceased?

Did Elvis die, I thought it was Elvis that sang at our "Walk for Life" Celebration last month. I guess I'm behind times?

I am sick of all the news coverage of MJ. I live in southern california so its constantly on the news. So much keeps coming out now about him. But let the guy rest his dad said in a press conference that MJ is finaly getting the recognition he deserves. No he would have preferred it to be low key i think. I do have to say his dads press conference was kind of interesting though.

Yeah there are many stories that kind of sprout out in the open. Being a very popular celebrity, I guess that cannot be avoided anymore. Well I just hope from where he is right now its much more peaceful and less stressful for him.

I am sick of all the hysteria, too! I don't care about every subject they can dig up on Michael Jackson! What is bad about this situation is people love hearing all this crap! As long as people want to hear crap on Michael Jackson,it will be continued to be dug up! There won't be a stone uncovered!

I'm watching only sports on TV. Other than that, I'm unaware of the MJ hysteria. I have chosen to watch a couple of his videos on Youtube. And that's about it.

well, how about the news? Don't you watch them? Cause there is a lot of michael jackson stories in the news, which I find very silly, since how much he weighed is hardly news... Happy Mylotting.

I agree with you 100 percent. The media has been going on about the same things for like 2 weeks straight. And theres nothing really new they even need to tell us. I know he was great and all but i doubt he wants this kind of explosion. Instead they could be at least saying something about Billy Mays who was also a very important man.

I certainly am!! He was a good singer and dancer but as far as I am concerned that is all. I still think he was pretty sick weirdo and did not earn my respect with his child molestation background.

Yes, I'm getting tired with it. Do I think it's justified? Yes, and no. So many people were affected by his music. I like seeing the tributes about his life. Well, my friend, if you think they news cares about what it reports you better think again! There are many things more important in life and all they care about is their ratings so they're still going to report violence and items that will get lots of viewers. It would be nice to hear about the good things in life. Pablo

I agree. It's just overwhelming. Looks like they would let the man rest in peace.

Yes, I agree with you. It's really the media's fault, because they won't let go. They have their priorities all mixed up.

I wish people would remember that he had children, and they will see all this when they are mourning their daddy. (Whether he was their real father or not doesn't come into it; to them, he was their father.) It was the same with Princess Diana. What must her sons have thought of all the hysteria? It's not mourning, it's attention seeking; you can only mourn someone you knew who was important in your life. Most people don't even know him, and being a passable singer doesn't make him important. People need to get on with their own lives and develop a sense of perspective.

I agree, besides, all these people who think are honoring him, are only making it harder on the ones who trully suffer his passing, his family.

I'm actually not that tired of it. I mean my mom and aunts and uncles all grew up listening to him so its nice to see and listen to what they were all into. And its cool to finally figure out some background to why he was the way he was. Watching the music videos is good to almost all his songs make me want to get up and dance. And normally music stations on t.v. and the radio don't play his songs anymore. The only way I'm tired of it is because they keep interrupting my shows to show his lol.

I guess that for people who have such an emotional attachment it's important to have people talk about him, I just wonder how much is too much...

Yeah, I couldn't agree more with you. It feels like everytime i see some news, whether it be on T.V. or newspaper, its all about Michael Jackson. I think that I've heard enough too. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything but I mean come on people enough is enough.

For me it is fine. I do not get tired. I learned some information about Michael Jackson taht I did not know when he was alive. Ihave learned that it is really true that Michael Jackson has no childhood. I felt sorry for him . Until now there are still special program for Michael Jackson. Until now he is still alive in television. It will take a year before people recover from his memories. He will be like Elvis.

Hello catarina_rg, i agree with you. I believe they should leave him and his family alone. If they love the king of pop, they should let him rest in peace. Though i would like to see more tributes.

I think people need to let Michael Jackson rest in peace. I do believe how ever that those kids are his. People love digging up dirt on others and they don't know how to tend to their own lives. I mean he passed away and yes it was sad and he was a great father but he needs to be left alone.
