Why do some people have to suffer so terribly when they're dying?
I spent last week watching my mother n law suffer in a way that is
Inhumane, I know God does everything for a reason, but I just don't
Understand how he could let one of the sweetest , loved, ladies i've
Ever known suffer in such a way as well as being scared and in a
Pain I can not imagine. She had bone cancer and passed away last
Wensday. Her death was truly a nightmare. Any quotes from the bible
Would b great. thanks all. Liz

I want to remind you that its always horrible when you lose someone you love. I lost my sister almost ten years ago and some times it feels like it was yesterday. She missed a lot of my highschool life. So it was rough and It sounds like you was close to her and sometimes its hard to see what life would be like without them around.
That being said, I wanted to remind you of Job. If you'd like some reading to do, that might answer alot of your questions as to why God does what he does. Job was pretty much an innocent in all of things that was talked about. God wanted to test Job to see if he would keep his faith no matter what was done to him or by whom it was done. The devil seen an opportunity and asked God if he would take the cover of Gods protection off of Job. This is what I was talking about as to why things happen the way that they happen. The devil asked God to losen the chains of Job and Satan brought all this stuff all along to Job. Like I said it would be a good book to read out of the bible. If this is still bothering you to know why. Sometimes you just have to let the why go and focus on the future and on the present and focus on the good this person did your life and so many others that I'm sure she probably touched.

Hi Liz sorry bout your mother in law but I wonder why did you say that it is God. Every time some happened bad we blame God. Anyway take comfort in 1 Corinthians 10 vs 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
There are times persons does things where others have not known about and God give them the opportunity to confess but instead of confessing they prefer to die in pain. She might be nice to you in her later days but what about her earlier ones. Anyway I am not here judging I am just saying that it is not everything that is bad is given to us by God. Satan can do everything expect give breathe.

We all know that here on earth is just our temporary residence...we are in the world but not of the world(John 17:15-180). We do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world but the renewing of our minds (Romans 8:28), God's will is good, pleasing and perfect...We cannot understand His plans but He knows it is best for us (Isaiah 55:9), Dying doesn't mean it's the end its just the beginning..."For me to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Phil.1:20-21).

there are ways of GOD that we don't understood in an instant, you said why GOD allows her to suffer such pain...maybe GOD wants to say something thru her sufferings, like, maybe it is time for every family member to seek medical help, maybe somebody had the same ailment...and early medication can prevent it before it become worst like what happened to your mom-n-law....we should be wise enough to think the inner cause why GOD let things happen esp unusual things.

The answer to your question is this, there is no god. No god would love you and be generous but on the other hand send you to hell and permit sufferings to millions of people. There is so much talk about what god is going to do to you and its all BS. He has'nt done anything and he never will because hes not real. There is a long list of egyptian gods before the existence of Jesus Christ that share way to many similiarities with this "god". It was created in honor to the sun like every other god and not meant to still be taken seriously today.

My Mom is dying today, and has been dying for more than one year. We keep thinking the Lord can't possibly continue to keep her in this state - just cognizant enough to know pain, and to know that her body has failed her. She is 95 now, and she can't see, or hear, or stand up, or use the toilet, or bathe, stay awake, or feel like eating, or remember anything. Now today she broke her hip - why, we keep asking hasn't the Lord taken her home?
What is the purpose of her still being here in her earthly body?
But someone is always there to remind us that God has a plan, and we must accept that without question.
When I flew to San Diego to visit her last month I gave her a bath, then put her into her bed to rest. She asked me to put baby powder all over her body. I laid her down and gave her a gentle massage. I prayed to the Lord, please take her now, all clean and fresh and sweet smelling, while she is cradled in my arms. But the Lord did not take her.
This week a new baby was born to our family. I new soul. It is time to take the old soul now. Please join me in praying that the Lord wraps him arms around my Mom and takes her Home.
thank you
Jennie's daughter, Cathi

There are various reasons for that sickness... One of my family members experienced the same as your mother n law and passed away the same way/.. But now i realize that God doesn't give these...Nothing more do I wish to say to you now.. Nothing i tell you can console you .. But remember God Loves You ..The answers you seek may lie in Ish 53:5
