Oh God, I feel so sad ,and I have been crying since
yesterday. My beloved dog was so special and so kind. She
was almost 14 years old ,but I was tring my best to
prolong her life. I went out yesterday to the movies ,and
she had died in her sleep. I feel so guilty that I didn't
spent so much time with her yesterday. When I left she
appeared happy ,and there was no indication that she was
going to died because she was shaking her tale and giving
me kisses. My husband who is a nurse told me that it appeared
that she had a heart attack. I love her and miss her so
much. My other mixed breed dog who was her companion appears
sad since he was always sleeping next to her. Oh well, if
there is heaven for dogs I have no doubt that she is already
together with all the angel dogs in heaven.

I am so sorry for you! I'm sending hugs to you. I will not say I understand, because even though I've lost dogs, none of them were your Lab. I'm a Christian, and one of the questions I get often, is do animals go to heaven? Since God placed them in our families (and in our hearts), I just can't imagine Him not letting us see and be with them in heaven! Check out the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn. It is a big book (thus it's about $20), but it definitely answers that question. Yes, animals, especially our pets, will be with us in heaven.
Take your time in mourning your pet, enjoy your other one, and please know that lots of us care and are praying for you!

Mirita: You're welcome! You see, my husband (who was recently fired from his Christian bookstore manager position, which he held for almost 10 years) always suggested that book when someone wanted to know if their puppy or any other pet would be there when they got to heaven. My person view is that since God chose them for us, and our hearts ache for them, there is no way our Father would not allow them to be in heaven with us!When I commented yesterday, I wanted to tell you about the Rainbow Bridge, but that name just wouldn't come to me. This helps a lot too ....... All our puppies cross that rainbow bridge, and stay there, waiting for us to cross also. Do a search, and you'll find that poem, and it will help too!Sending hugs to my new friend ....... Becky

Oh honey, I am so sorry! Although she probably went quickly, that is no consolation since I know you miss her so much. Losing a pet just rips a person's heart in two. Let me know if I can do anything. If you decide to get another pet to comfort your other dog, and to comfort you as well, I'd love to cash in some of my points for you. I could cash in some points at another site and send you a Petsmart gift card. So that you could get some free things and the cost wouldn't be too great. Getting another dog is no substitute, but it always gave me another focus, and one I could show my love to.

Thanks for your concern ,but I have another dog ,and so far
he has been my consolation ,and thank God I still have my
mixed breed by the name of Champion. My labrador retriever's
name was Onyx. I had Onyx for almost 14 years and she was like
my little girl. She adored my two boys ,and they also adore
her a great deal. My older son has been crying too because
we got her when they were small and she saw them grow up. In
regards to Champion hopefully he'll feel better in a couple of
days. Is just very hard to get another dog right now.
