My feet sweat a lot when I am doing physical activity. After I am I go home and my socks are drenched in sweat, its really gross. It also makes my shoes smell really bad. My old shoes smelled so bad that it was like a permanent smell and everywhere I went I could smell them.

My kid used to have smelly feet before usually after a long game of basketball. Even with foot powders other foot care products his feet still has that odd smell. So I did a research and have read in a book on how to cure it. We experiment on soaking his feet in warm water mixed with powdered alum and salt (about 4 tablespoons each for every quart of warm water) for about 30minutes. We did it every after basketball game he had and so far he never had the same problem again. During one's activity, the sweat that was trapped on the socks combined with the smell of rubber on warm feet causes the odd odor. I've learned that the warm water has the soothing effect on tired feet and relaxes them. The alum and the salt gets rid of the bacteria trapped on pores of the feet.

When you wear trainers, your feet sweat too much, and the bacteria increases. When they feed your skin, organic acid is released which stinks. So the more the sweat, the stinkier the smell. I got this from http://spaandfacialcarecenter.blogspot.com/
