My feet are sore! Mind you is it any wondering I sure give them a pounding, 4 times at the gym, they are certainly pounded upon!
I just wish I had someone to massage them for me, I am not at all ticklish and love having my feet massaged. I have put Body Shop Peppermint Lotion on them and they still ache!
Do you suffer with your feet? And does your partner massage your feet for you? Or do you massage their feet?
When you come home from a long day and you were to ask your partner if they'd mind massaging your feet for you, what would they say?
Have you ever paid to have your feet massaged?
Massaging your own feet is not the same is it? So do you have someone that will happily massage your feet for you?

No, I don't and I sure wish I did. I have in the past but it didn't last. I'd much rather be on the receiving end. My feet were really killing me one day and the old guy that lived downstairs from me and my girls told me to go take my stockings (they were panty-hose) off and come back. I went back downstairs and he rubbed my feet all over with methylated spirits. The pain went away and my feet felt wonderful- he did it for about 3 days off and on. They never ever got that sore again. Smokey (that's what his name was) said that the metho hardens the feet but also keeps the skin soft. I didn't care...my feet were good from then on. I used to be on them all day and sometimes also on the 40 minute train ride to work and again on the way home.

It's used for that and all sorts of things. Homeless drunks drink the stuff cause it's cheap ...metho or meths they call it. It can be bought from supermarkets or hardware stores. You use it fairly liberally with a towel under your feet to stop any drips but it is funny stuff and dries quickly when you use it...even if you don't like it for your feet, it has other applications. If your Dad has a shed he might already have some or your Mum might have some under the sink or in the laundry.

I really wish he would! My feet need attention sometimes but my partner doesn't like feet so he won't do it. My kids tickle my feet though and I have a wonderful sister who is trained in reflexology so I act as her guinea pig for practicing that as often as possible! I love having my feet touched. I would massage your feet, Wolfie. Perhaps we should get together and have a mutual foot massage! :)

I just had an idea. I don't know if you can still get them or where from but I have got some spa flip flop thingies. I can't remember what they are called. Anyway, I got them from Avon but they're probably available elsewhere. They are unisex and they have a kind of soft gel wiggly sort of stuff on the top which massages the soles of your feet while you're walking and they are like jelly sandals material underneath. I hope that makes sense to you as I can't think how to describe them. But anyway, they are really nice to wear and are a good second best to a massage.

Hi wolfie. No, my husband doesn't usually massage my feet for me, but that's okay as I'd much rather have other body parts massaged. However, I normally massage his feet for him when he asks. He works hard at his job and deserves to get his feet massaged. It's the least I can do for him.

My fiance and I have massaged each other's feet before. It is very relaxing to do, and can really help those aches and pain's. Have you tried soaking your feet in a hot bath and then reapplying the lotion? I used to work for a company that had us working many many hours and my feet would often be very sore. It was great to feel the warmth of water and foot soaking stuff! I loved it!

Don't laugh but I used to get a bowl of water and stick my feet into it whilst I was working away at my desk on the computer, well one day I was so involved in what I was doing on the computer that I forgot the bowl and I went to get up and I knocked the bowl over, the water you can imagine went everywhere, soaked everything! So I haven't done that since, daren't and yes I should do it the bath, less messy, I was a clumsy Klutz for sure!

Were you at home or an office, or maybe even a cafe? Wow! I would have been so upset and embarrassed, worried for sure about the computer! Not so much worried at home though! Well I guess the idea is good nonetheless. There are foot massagers that you add water to and they massage your feet, they are very nice! Maybe something like that would be safer! I used that at the computer before I do believe, with adding a towel underneath it for safety!

Hi wolfie34
Ahhhh body shops peppermint lotion is lovely. If you can get a peppermint spray that is nice too and really refreshing. I actually wouldn't want someone to massage my feet if I just got in from work as my feet would be hot and sweaty and wouldn't want anyone to touch them until I had washed them!! I wouldn't want to touch someone elses sweaty smelly feet either, not unless they washed them first then I don't mind massaging them for someone. Massaging your own feet sure isn't the same!

What a shame you can't unscrew your feet and leave them to soak over night, now that would a wonderful idea! I think the human body has so many flaws! Like sweating, it doesn't cool you down it makes you more uncomfortable and more hot. Hmmmph, I hate this heat :0*(

I do have someone I could trade foot massages with, if we ever worked and slept the same schedule or if I would ask him. I am too heavy and my feet hurt all of the time. I understand that as we age the fat cushion on the bottom of the feet wears thin, and I am felling that a lot lately.Maybe I will get a foot massage tomorrow.

Hello wolfie. I have never asked my wife to massage my feet. But we have both been to massage shops for it. We love to have professionals do the massaging job. We pay for it, and it is not very expensive. It is about 8 American dollars. So what about the price in your country?

One of my daughters LOVES doing foot massages, and always tries to have a go at mine when she's visiting. However, I am SO ticklish I can't bear it! As soon as she starts, I'm wriggling and laughing. I put Burt's Bees Almond cream on my heels, though - or Body Shop Nut Butter. Makes them nice and soft. If you have sore, cramped or jumpy feet, it's supposed to help if you put camphor blocks in the bottom of your bed!

Ahhh foot massages - yess. Definitely love them. And yes, my love sometimes just picks up my feet and does his magic. *sigh* What I would give just to have a lil bit of that right now. You see, I like to run. That's why I appreciate foot massages.
Lately -he hasn't been very willing because he's been working 12-hour shifts for a good 5 to 6 days depending on the busy-ness and whose willing to work over the weekend. So lately, I've been the one giving the massage. I don't mind though. I love giving him a massage.
But right now...hmmmmm... What I would give for a foot massage.

My husband massges my feet when they are hurting. I normally do not like people touching my feet I would only let my husband and a family member. I don't know why I guess I don't really like my feet or just uncomfortable letting other people touch them. I have also never had a profecional pedicure, there are times that I wish I can get one but when I get to the point of going to a place to have one done I just turn around and go home. I don't know why but my husband those not mind to give me a massage I also try to give him a massage but most of the time he would tell me that he those not what one at the moment maybe later.

No my boyfriend doesn't massage my feet but thats only because I'm ticklish lol. But when I've been at work all day, or have been playing volleyball he'll give me one. But mostly its me massaging his feet or his back, just like today actually. I like doing it just because I'm inspired to open up my own massage salon. So I try to get practice in on him.

By the time I get to sit down in the evenings my feet are absolutely throbbing. My hubby has often offered to massage them for me, but I am so ticklish that I couldnt bear anyone at my feet at all. I do let him get a relaxing foot soak ready for me though ;) I use a lot of Footworks products from Avon that seem to do the trick.

Funny you should ask! We were talking about this the other day, or I should clarify that and say I was talking about that! When we were going out and spending more time together my wife used to rub my feet and do my toe nails for me! After we got together full time we've been together for over ten years. It all slowly stopped! I guess after the first year! LOL! I sure miss it! tdemex

We get massage at the massage parlors. In our culture, I seldom hear people receiving massage from their spouses, maybe firstly for lack of the skill, and secondly with spouses, massage maybe the last thing to show intimacy.
The exception is for those who are seriously ill, say after a stroke, they need constant and regular physical assistance to help recovery, and such assistance is not affordable from others than their spouses for spacial and financial reasons.

My wife does that, sometimes, depending of her tiredness level, or if my feet are washed, or something else. But it's so comforting that, in return, I could even pay her...
But she says she does that with love...and I try some payback...some way...she does not like foot massage.
