My favorite word in he dictionary has got to be effulgent. It's just a fun word, was mentioned once on my favorite TV show. I don't think I've ever heard or seen it anywhere else. I like this quesion, and I'm looking forward to other responses as well. Thanks for this idea!

My favorite word is pinafore, it's an apronlike garment worn over a dress or with a blouse. I like the sound of the word, and the femininity of it.
