This is more of a survey than a question, though.
Who's better Messi or Ronaldo?
I think Messi is better than Ronaldo and he deserved to be the FIFA Player of the Year and should also have won the Ballon D'Orr.
Messi can single-handedly disintegrate any defence with his light-footed moves. What's more....he can also hit them hard from long range.
Ronaldo on the other hand has great shooting and dribbling ability but unfortunately he doesn't have the agility which Messi has and therefore can't dodge tackles at times, while Messi simply dodges and scampers away.

I would agree. Messi can change a game. Wheras Ronaldo tends to give up when things are going against him.Also Ronaldo's inabilty to tackle and unwillingness to even attempt to win the ball back, means that in my opinion Messi is the better player. However who develops best over the next few years remains to be see. However I am really looking forward to seeing them playing in the same league and facing each other again.

We'll get the answers in this year's El Classico matches.
What happens when they'll face each other?
How will they develop in the next few months?
I can answer the second question. Ronaldo has played for Sporting Lisbon, ManU and now Real. Whereas Messi has only played for Barca. You might feel that Ronaldo has more experience this way. But wait till you hear this.
The Spanish League is much tougher than the BPL in terms of physical play.
And Messi has now become used to that.

I got to go with Messi as well. His football skills and footbal IQ are alot better than Ronaldo's. I do give Ronaldo the advantage in physical attributes, in a foot race I got Ronaldo, in the air he got the advantage. However when it comes to skills, poise and ellegance Messi wins hands down.Also when I look at both players, I could see Messi improving his game by leaps and bounds and becoming even better, whereas with Ronaldo where can he really improve? His shotcomings are mental and as a leader. If i remember right, a while ago he was captain for Portugal when they got blasted 5-0 or somethign like that by Brazil. You want to be a leader, but who will follow. I think it all about Messi right now. What is more intersting I think than seeing Messi (Barca) versus Ronaldo (Real Madrid) is how Ronaldo and Kaka will coexist in Madrid. Ronaldo is sort of a template of Ronaldino, in his flashly brillance and they both need to have the ball at their feet to be at their best. Ronaldino and Kaka experiment in AC Milan was a failure of sorts, so that will be interesting to watch now in Madrid.

Messi is a way better player than Ronaldo . Ronaldo possesses more skills but Messi is a more complete player . Ronaldo is a showboat albeit a highly effective one, but Messi's overall game,his vision ,his composure his ball control is mind boggling . Also to stand out in that star studded Barca team is an achievment in itself .Undoubtedly this season he will be awarded the Fifa World Player Of the Year

I am totally with you on this one SiddFisher. Messi although plays a different tactical game compared to Ronaldo has shown us that he DOES deserves to be FIFA Player of the Year. Messi's dribbling and not to mention ball control is by far better than Ronaldo who does occasionally mess up. Albeit, Ronaldo's long-range shots are far more and accurate and skillful, Messi is still younger and has a LONG TIME to go! :D
