I do feed my cats rice. Yes rice . the oriental rice. it is our staple food here in the philippines and in the whole asia i think. anyways, usually i will pour hot soup on the rice i will serve them. not the hot one. i will one to cool down of course so that the can eat them. i will just pour enough soup that only the rice can absorb and so the rice will not be floating with soup. what can only the rice can hold will i add on that rice. and the cats usually love it. cause this is what we do on our rice, we pour soup on our rice and then add some salt and voila it is very delicious. and so it is also good for my pets. they usually eat a lot of rice this way. but i do give them fish also alternately with rice. whatever is serve on our table for us to eat will also be their food. but mostly the left over food only but sometimes the food that has not been touch yet we give them to eat. I don't know if it is acceptable in your country to feed your pets this way. I know in USA , they have this plate for cats, a very nice plate but here we just have our own old plastic cup or wares we can find and use them as plate. like the old ice cream container , we use them as their plate. there they eat all of the cats. and i love seeing them eat a lot. it makes me feel so satisfied.

I don't have a cat nor a kitten at my house because my mother doesn't like them a lot (the mother side of my family had a family history of asthma which my forth younger sister and my youngest brother had right now) but i can pet the cats at UST (i currently study there as well). I usually feed them with some leftover rice and meat or fish which i had for lunch whenever i spot a friendly cat (there are other stray cats at UST are unapproachable to humans).

Yes, UST is a big place for the stray cats to roam around, i even saw some of the students carrying one or two kittens to take them home as pets.

Yes, we feed our cats with rice, so it will get satisfied. My cat loves fish, chicken, bread, cookies and also junk food. He's small but a terrible in eating.

oh, even junk food. just like humans. not healthy for them. i won't give them snacks cause twice a day of feeding is enough i think. if they are not still full then can ask our neighbors for more food. for sure they will find more food there.

LOL My cat eat what ever I eat and rice is our staple food which also becomes my cat daily meal but of course mixed with some cat food purchased from the mart. Even the two dogs I have eat rice and they are so used to eating rice with minced meat for pets that they will not go for any other food.

I usually give my cat dry cat food to eat, but he does get pieces of meat or cheese as treats. And although most people in the US do buy special bowls for their animals, I just use a couple of old dishes I had.

here in sri lanka are staple diet is rice as well. And are cat eats whatever where eating, so that means he get rice majority of the time. he loves it, i think. Well, he personally prefers sprats or milk. So if we give rice with sprats or milk, he'll eat evrything ^_^
