Every woman wants a perfect and slim body figure. We tends to do anything to maintained slim including exercising, dieting, and even escape meals. But things will changed after giving birth due to hormonal changes and the fats obtained after consuming more foods during pregnant. Most women tends to get chubby after given birth..like i am now. To those who can get their slim figure back..u're very lucky. I have done a lot including practicing healthy and vegetarian diet, skipping dinner etc...but nothing seems to work. Any suggestion to get slim back?

As a woman grow old she is vulnerable to become fat. Well, it also depend to your family genes. In my case I am very thin during my teenage years and I like to have more fat in my body. as I reach adulthood my body changes, sometimes i am chubby and sometimes very thin. Now, I reach my weight almost 45 kg. and some says it is thin. If you really want to be slim. You need to be discipline yourself. Stop eating food high in fat, remove fats from meat and only used white meat such as chicken and better fish meat. I myself is very lazy when it comes to exercise. I like to walk and my household chores is the way I take as exercise. Then, I lessen the intake of my meal. I eat a lot during breakfast, afternoon and less in the evening. If you follow this you will observe your weigh down and becomes slim again.

Hi Jackyline and welcome to Mylot. My suggestion is to keep a food diary of everything you have eaten, even if its just a bite of something. We sometimes dont realize how much we actually consume and how many calories we eat till we write them down. make sure you look up the calorie count for each item. Fine out how many calories you consume each day for a week then you can adjust as needed. If you younger than thirty it will be easier to lose that weight than when you get older. I know. hehe

I have been losing weight bewcause I don't have food to eat... and I'm still doing a lot of walkings with my dogs and yard work, and I have been stressed out very much, I think both of them is why making me so skinny...
I think the most efficient way to lose weight and get the shape back is exercising! It definitely helps! I walk my puppy alot, sometimes swimming with him, I play hulahoop and jumping rope.

I think walking is a good form of exercise. It's a reat way to lose some unwanted fats. Crunches will help, too.
I also gained weight when I gave birth but you know i love my body now than before. Because when I was thin clothes don't look good on me. But I love the way my clothes fit my body now. I look healthy compared before. So, I don't have any paln of losing weight.

I hate to say it but, sometimes you simply have to get to work. Some peoples metabolism is such, that short of working hard every day, there is nothing they can do to lose weight.
What can that work be? Don't know. Depends on you.
I met a guy in his 60s that told me about how he realized he was gaining weight, so he did something radical. He request that his job give him a position that required him to off-load and on-load semi-trailers all by himself. As you can imagine, a 53 foot trailer huge, and it's very hard, and take quite awhile. But, he lost the weight.
My roommate is the opposite. She will drive to the mailbox, drive to the dumpster at the end of the block. She'll sit on the couch, eating Doritos, watching "biggest loser" on TV, and then complain about being over weight.
No I don't have a problem with making life easier for yourself. But realize that by doing everything the easiest possible way, you deny yourself exercise. Paint the room. Take out the trash. Clean up the backyard. Walk to the library instead of drive. In short, do something. Finding the remote buried in the couch so you don't have to actually walk to the TV and push the button, does not count.
BTW, just so you know, eating only gerbil food, or skipping dinner normally does not help. Your body will go into a starvation mode. It will conserve energy because it thinks you are starving by missing dinner. Thus you will not lose much weight, unless you skip food for days on end, which is not healthy.

Hi Jackyline, I've had the same feeling when I gave birth to my second child, indeed, it will never be the same again--our figure. But please never skip meals. You may take small amounts of food but please don't skip meals because it will make feel more hungry and crave more and feel deprived. At this time, I've tried eating less carbohydrates. I avoid soda. You may not necessarily go vegetarian but don't forget to eat fruits and vegetables. Happy mylotting!

hello Jacklyline..... the only way to lose our weight is reduce the amount of calories that we take into our body and increase the burning out of calories. Reducing one’s weight and getting slim is always possible while still maintaining good health. The first thing that you should do is evaluate your body type and lifestyle in order understand how much calories your body needs. Once you determined your calorie needs, make a plan how to make adjustments on your food intake and physical activity.
at home, you should prepare your own foods. Go for natural and fresh ingredients.......... You can develop good eating habits Maintain balance, variety, and moderation in your eating. Minimize your food portions but make sure that you are eating a wide variety of foods which your body needs on a daily basis...... happy mylotting....!!!
