Don't you hate it when people start making racist jokes or start mocking one of your friends because he has a dark color? What do you think is the main reason that people become racists?

People have a natural fear of someone who looks different, this protected us when we were cave men, now children learn from their parents, as adults we forget how much body language our children read from us and how much one small phase or joke can cause a lasting impression in the children, this is the first place racists begin.

We can become more conscious of things we say and do, that joke that may sound funny may have a racial tone without you even noticing, you physical reaction when you see
something that makes you uncomfortable, like the homeless, or just anyone with another life style from yours. This is under your control all you have to do is become more aware. Children are always watching and learning.
