Watching TV or reading?

Hey there! I am the type of person who really enjoys watching TV shows. I follow a bunch of different TV series. I prefer watching TV shows over reading books. Don't get me wrong though, I also enjoy reading books. I have read a lot of books in the past and am currently reading one. I also buy Time magazine every week and read the newspaper everyday. It's a close battle, but I think I am more entertained by watching TV than reading most of the time. Depends on what I'm reading. How about you? Do you prefer to watch TV or do you prefer to read books or magazines or other reading materials?

I enjoy watching television, and watch it until the end of the television series, but if the television show was always repeated, i use to read books rather than to watch it again, because i know the story, i want to watch new television series and know whether good or bad story, i want Korean Novela and more on love story series, i love also reading, like cook book, love story, action and fiction.

It depends on what mood I am in. I do have a lot of my shows that I follow religiously. I watch those during the day/night when I am not working. But I always read a little bit before I go to sleep. I've always been a big reader. I can just lay down on the couch and read for hours and get lost in a book. One of my favorite things to do in the winter is sit by the fireplace and read by the light of the fire. Where I lived we lost power a lot during the winter from the heavy snow or during the summer with the thunderstorms that we got. Even though our power lines were under ground, 1 street away they were above ground...so to say the least I use to read a lot.

I prefer to read books when it is very silent like int he night or in the afternoon when there are no other disturbance. I also love to watched TV but sometime if there are only some good shows or maybe some favorite movies to be played in cable TV. I don't like tv shows except for smallvile but I watch smallvile online.

It is up to my mood and the program/contents. If I'm quite sad, and I will read a book silently at home, especially it is raining outside. If I'm fine, I will choose watching TV or reading a book according to the program/contents. I prefer entertaiment program than any content of book.

I like to read books. The words in the books always give you a space to imagine. So many times I read the book first, I can imagine the things and the people in my brain, let my feel so good. But when you see the film which was adapted from the book, it always let me lose my passion.

Hey..I agree with you and I also think that it really depends on what you are reading and also depends on one's mood at that particular point of time. It's also a close battle with me when I am in a neutral mood; however when things go wrong with me, I prefer watching TV shows over reading books as at that time, the TV shows keep me entertained..and of course there is always a lot of choice for the TV channels you watch...

I prefer to watch TV than reading, but sometimes it all depends on what's on in the TV or what book I am going to read. I have times that I don't care about watching TV and just wanted to finish the book I am reading, there are times as well that I will open a book and leave it after reading few pages and prefer to watch TV shows, lol.

TV is my number one company, but I always have a book at my bedside or by the chair, which I can read when I feel like it. TV gives us first time news but reading enriches our mind and calm down our heart. I like both.

books - It is a pile of books.
I also love both reading and watching TV. I can't choose which one I like more. It depends on the circumstances. For example, if it is a show that I LOVE watching, then I would watch the show instead of reading. But if the show is boring, then I would go back to my good old book. See what I mean? Colin

I know it would be better to say that I would prefer to read. In my younger days, I loved to read books of various genre but lately I have become fond of watching television. There are lots of informative channels to choose from unlike before. There are still so many things to learn from television, however, the rate of how fast I can read has changed. It's becoming poorer and slower than before. I plan to go back to reading very soon.
