Currently, I am a call center agent. My colleague and I really love to eat while taking our calls. So one night, we went to a convenient store to purchase junk foods and peanuts for us to consume while taking calls. So when we were already in the station, we munch in the peanuts first. When suddenly, we felt the urgency to go to the comfort room and I was cold and I felt like vomiting. We were surprised that consequently, we felt the same way at the same time. So we tried to recall everything we ate on that shift, it was then we realized maybe it was because of the peanuts. So when we checked the packing, it was expired. After our shift, we went back directly to the convenient store where we bought the peanuts and complained about it, especially it was that time that the Salmonella outbreak with peanuts had started. Good thing that store provided us medical assistance.
After that incident, we learned our lesson. To always check the expiry date of all preserved foods and drinks before purchasing. What about you guys, do you always check the expiration date of all your purchases?

Absolutely, thats very important. Don't buy foods or drinks when it pass expiry date, better throw it and report it to the manager. Many of people don't care about expiry date, because they only look for cheap prices.

I agree to that. There are lots of people who buy foods and drinks that have cheaper prices. What they don't realize is that most stores have these goods on sale because it is expiring. But even not on sale, we must be very careful with that we consume because it will also be us that will be affected in the end.

Always...i don't want to buy something and end up getting sick because it spoiled before i cooked it and didn't realize that it was unusable. it should be noted that sell by dates such as found on meats and milks and the likes are only dates that the store should sell it by. in fact last time i heard stores are not even legally required to put them on there. Sell by dates and actual spoilage dates DO NOT MATCH. heck in the right conditions meat can spoil BEFORE the sell by date. Ive had milk go bad up to a week before the printed sell by date on the packaging. so its all relative.

There are times that the spoilage dates on cans or cartoons, will become blurry or the print will be very light which cannot be read adequately. What we can also check is the manufactured date. Most of the drinks will only last for 3months and canned goods will last fro 6months to 1year.
