Is Obama a Socialist?

First of all, there is at least one senator who describes himself as a "democratic socialist", but I still don't see how everyone is screaming "socialism" over what Obama has done thus far. All he wants is for people who cannot afford or get health insurance, to have options. If people think that's so wrong and horrible, then I guess that part of them is ok with nothing changing. I guess giving someone an option equals socialism in their eyes????

Our country was heading into socialism before Obama was elected. I am sure you remember Bush and Paulson telling the world that we need to give people that lost trillions on what were complecated ponzi schemes, hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars or the world will end. That was socializing loses while the leaders of those company were walking away for the problems they caused with hundreds of millions of dollars. Obama is just fixing the mess that Bush left us in. Remember that Bush entered office with a budet SURPLUS, and left our country in the worse fincial crisis since the great depression. Can anyone tell me what Bush's dream for the country was?

I think he is beyound socilisum. He is more into Communism and Fascism. That is the state controling everything including our lives. As he showed in his answer to the lady about her mother and the pasemaker. He in effect said that she should just shut up and die.

He has come up with a terrible cross between Socialism, Communism and Fascism.

Many people from the US do not like OBMA for what reason I do not know. But what I feel is he is a socialist and would like to see all positivity taking place in the US and all over the world.

He's a community organizer which is worst. The overall system he's in the middle of setting up is worse then socialism with all these czars and oversighters we soon won't need a congress, the man knows what he's doing.
