Anybody think Optimus Prime was too aggressive?

Look at demolisher, lying wounded and defenceless and prime shot him in the face, grinders head got ripped off and the fallen's face was torn off. They came to very violent deaths at the hands of Optimus. Surely he could of immobilized them without killing his own kind? Surely an Autobot would know better? I just dont get this more violent optimus, it just isnt him. Lots of people at http://squidoo.com/go-transformers think the same but some people think its just better realism. What do you think?

Transformer is best and i rate 9.I am fan of optimus prime who defends for the good and against bad!

He is so strong. Him vs 4 Decpticons. He is more kind in the animation. But same characteristics. Optimus showing is a leader, too like Megatron of the opposition. Blockbuster. But Sam & Magan Fox plus Bumble bee are the real big characters.
