I do not like the tomato paste being used on pizza these days. I think it is to tangy it cover up the other toppings. does anyone else feel the sameway as i do? do you know of a good sauce that does not have to tangy of a taste.

As far as I'm aware, tomato purée is a pretty standard ingredient in a pizza base and I have yet to eat a pizza which doesn't use it. In some establishments, however, and I find this moreso in frozen pizzas sold in supermarkets, I think too much of it is used which doesn't give the pizza it's best texture. I say this as somebody who doesn't particularly like the taste of tomato and so it really detracts from the overall quality of the pizza for me personally but I'm not sure there's any kind of global conspiracy to ruin them for us. If the right amount is used, I can barely taste it. When there is so much that it crusts solid, I find it disgusting.
