Where is the most beautiful night sky you have seen?

Hi myLotters,
I always like to gaze at the night sky since I was a kid, always hoping to see a shooting star. I love to gaze at the night sky full of shinning stars. It's sooooo beautiful=) However, I am staying in the Singapore which is brightly lit. So, it is very hard for me to see a beautiful night sky. I can only see beautiful night sky when I travel overseas or when I go to the seaside. Can you guys share with my where is the most beautiful night sky you have seen??? Cheers.

Hi. I am from India. i have seen the most beautiful sky in my village, 'Kabaribahal'. Theres no artificial light around so one can see the clear sky. Even our galaxy, milky way is visible. Its a very nice scene to see. I love sky watching specially in my village.

Hello suryacool, thanks for your reply. I know that the night sky is very beautiful in the countryside where there is no artificial lights. From the way you explained in this response, I am starting to imagine the beautiful night sky in your village. It must be very beautiful indeed to even see the milky way.... You are so lucky =)

I think our most beautiful night sky is on a night of the full moon, when we have scattered clouds. This can make for great skyscapes

Hi savypat, guess you have a very notion of beautiful night sky. Hmm.... now I am trying to remember whether I have come across a beautiful night with a bright full moon and some scattered clouds here and there. In my country Singapore, due to all the artificial lights, many times I can only see the moon in the sky, but not a very nice bright moon though. Thanks for sharing and have a great day ahead =))

The best place I have been was on my grandparents farm in midwest part of Wisconsin, US. They lived on what they call a ridge, in other words it was higher than most lands. When you walked out into the cleared fields in the night, the Night sky was oh so awesome, Stars were clear, the sky was filled with them. You could find many constelations. Falling stars, well for us it was when you saw one, you were to make a wish, at least one of us made a wish each night we were outside gazing into the night sky at the stars.

Hi Youreyes4Today, your grandparents farm looks like a dream come true to me. Must be a very beautiful place to live in. I stay in the city all my life and I am always graving for some peaceful life at the countryside. It is so wonderful to be able to see falling star every night at your grandparent's farm. And you can make a wish every night. And who know's out of so many wishes, maybe 1 or 2 wish will come true.....kekeke....=))

The most beautiful night sky that I've seen is in Panglao Island in Bohol, here in the Philippines. I could perfectly remember every night that my friends and I were there and we'd just lay around by the beach and marvel at such a beautiful sight. It's like looking at a painting. It seems like if I could just reach some more, I would be able to hold them in my hands.
