I am from the Philippines and I can say that there are some cabs in our country but not widely available in the Philippines. However, my follow up question would be, are those taxis HONDA?TOYOTA?or what?

Yes, we have taxies in India. India is a developing country, so not many people own their own vehicles. We have taxies called autoes, which run on three wheels to travel a short distance. We also have cars, buses, honda, toyota, and maruthi van taxi's for long distance travels. The rate depends upon the vehicle you choose. The Ambassador car is the cheapeast. If you want Santro or Honda the price will increase. The price also depends on how big the vehicle is and you want AC or not. Buses are also available for rent if you want to book them for some functions like wedding. Another type of taxies like cabs are also available. You can rent them for three hours or four hours. There is a fixed rate for that. If you rent a care for three hours and even if you don't use it for three hours, you have to pay the full price.

There are a lot of cabs around here - but they are EXTREMELY expensive. They're mostly mini-vans, mainly because those are very comfortable compared to sedans. Yeah, but like I said they are expensive. I've actually never used one before. Mainly because I have a car - so I don't really need a cab for anything. Maybe when I visit the Big Apple (New York). They have TONS of cabs there!

I live in Mississippi and we don't see too many taxis around here. The town I live in has a few that I see on occasion. There are probably more in the bigger cities, but I haven't visited those enough to know. I really have no clue what the make of those taxis would be! Most that I see around here are just plain 4 door sedans!

I live in the Philippines too! So, I think you already know what I am going to say lol. I've heard from my dad though that the taxi's at europe are pretty much big time because all of them are bmw-s if not bmw-s they are mercedes benz-s.

There are lots of taxis in my country. You can see one easily on the road. As for the taxi models, it depends on the taxi companies. We had a few taxi companies, and some of them use different models. There are the Toyota Crown taxis, the Hyundai Sonata, Honda Airways, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota Wish, Kia etc... The flag-down rates are slightly different with some taxi models (especially the bigger and luxury ones)...

There are a lot of taxi's in my country, almost everywhere, in the city or the coutryyard, during daytime or at night, it is very convience for people's life. The kinds of the taxi's inclding HONDA, TOYOTA, NISAN, POLO, etc,it represented the development of the country. But there are buses also, which will take people who goes to school, or the person who is in no rush. I love taxi, which will have been giving convenience to me now and in further!
