Hello friends,
I've observed this number at the bottom of the page a lot of times and this morning I got a bit surprised because I clearly remember that the number used to be around 360,000 in April. Today when I saw it, it was showing around 170,000... How can the population here decrease? Or is there any other reason for it?
May be they have only six figures to display the population and the digit in the millions' place is missing... whatsay?

360,000 in April? I dont remember. I mean with the new layout Ive always thought that it was increasing and its now 170,000+. Though now that I think about it, I do remember it going up very fast to 200,000+ when I was only new here and with the old layout still.
Hmm, I really dont know. Thanks for noticing it.

LOL! Sorry its not very hard evidence but at least its something right? Perhaps if you make a discussion search about the myLot population, something might turn up. I cant really do it myself right now as Im pressed for time. I might look into that more when I have the time and I remember.
You're welcome.^_^

I can't answer you, I just look at it once in a while. This is something mylot keeps tract of and once in a while I use it to tell others about mylot.

I can feel the lack luster in mylot of late. Maybe mylot has weeded out those 'sleeping' members in their record and come to the real figures now. It is normal happenings in mylot, members come and go. But it is quite alarming for an established and popular site like mylot to see a mass exit of its members. Something is not right somewhere.

Hello Zandi,
I'm sure something isn't right somewhere. I mean, how come nobody else noticed it if such a thing ever existed? May be I interpreted it wrongly or it was a technical glitch for a brief moment.I don't see any reason for such a large number of members to leave just like that.

I've been here for over a year and never saw the population go that high. If you saw that I suspect it was a coding a glitch of some kind that may have doubled the number of actual members. I've never seen it over 200,000.

I think it's either an error or mylot decreased its population by deleting the in active users since they have this new rule if you wont be able to open your account in the span of 3 months then you account will be in active and they will delete it... It is the only explanation behind all that number being decreased. I am not sure though my friend but as far as I could remember the population of mylot never reached 360,000...

I don't know about the decrease but I seen only the increase from the last few days. I don't think that it may decrease like this. Maybe some error - according to your statement. But if it is so, then nearly half of the mylot population has gone. It should not be like that.

i think its probably the amount of users on mylot at the time if there was a dramatic decrease in members leaving mylot then i think we would know about it
