If you have discovered a new flower or animal, how would you name it?

Let's say you are walking through the woods hiking, your friends with you and accidentally saw a beautiful flower or animal and took a picture of it. and soon discovered that it was some unnamed specie not yet discovered before and you were given the chance to name it as you would wish. What kind of name would you come up with and what will influence you on the kind of name that you will give on it.

yeah naming it after you is good one to make your name popular.

I wouldn't have a clue. I think it would depend entirely on what it looked like, to me, at least.
Yesterday, my son noticed a bug on one of my plants. I had never seen a bug like this one before and didn't have a clue as to what kind it was. it was tiny, all white and looked like it had a tiny feather on it's butt, sticking up in the air. I'd probably give that one a name like Sp. Featherbugus Strangioso.
