Well save one or two I have not met any of the mylot friends in person. Just one day I land in your place and tell you over phone that I am there in your land. How would you react? (Emergency cases are exempted). Anyway I am planning to make a visit to Malaysia this year. And expecting to meet some of the mylotters there including zandi.

Rajib when are you coming to Italy???
You must plan to stay here for longer than one hour because talking with you will be so interesting I'm certain! You must also give some warning so that I can make sure there is a room for you to stay in at the hotel here where I work and I could organise time off to show you something interesting here.
I have not met any myLotters in person yet but I do have contact with several offline now, including by phone. I have met users from other sites already though and it is great when I meet them in person. Interacting with users here over time means they are no longer just a username on a web page but real people and the only thing missing is meeting up offline.
So when are you coming???

looks like Rajib is going globe trotting. You might as well do it Rajib when you are still young, strong and capable. I am quite a traveler too but have not gone beyond Asian countries. Hope to do some traveling again when my domestic problems are settled.

If you are getting used to talking with your hands then you can pratically speak Italian!
I am here Rajib but I am also working more hours in my job now so I am not able to be here (and all over the place) like I was in the first few months of this year. As you remember when you were new, I stay close to some of the newer users when they are just setting off here so sadly I can't be everywhere. Add to that the fact that if I start a discussion I then have a lot to do there and stay off other discussions until I get that done - hence I seem to be 'missing'.
Wow 4 days - great! But you will not want 4 up here where I am unless you can spare 10 altogether for the whole of your Italy visit as the places you mention except for Milan are further away. Oh and another Lotter will be in Milan in a few months time - would be great if you were both here at the same time!

Hi Diana,
First tell me where had you been all these long? Surely not to see the queen!!!
Well Italy is in the priority list in my Europe visit and England and of course to see the mermaids of Romania.
One hour????? Why? I would stay at least 4 days. The great Roman Empire and its ruins, Pisa, the new Rome, Milan, and the country side. But do not worry I have already started throwing my hands in all direction while talking to people

Hi Rajiib. Now what would I do if you were to come to my country? Well firstly I would be shocked and once I ascertained that it was really you, I would welcome you to my home, take you out to dinner so you wouldn’t have to succumb to my cooking (lol) and show around the sites of our lovely city. I would hope to spend a lot of time talking to you and getting to know you face to face.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Malaysia; you will meet Zandi how exciting! I wish I were you! (lol)

Wow! So many people have so nice things to say that I don’t really know if I should go ahead and post my real feelings!
Anyway since I had already framed my response, I’d better get on with it…I would be skeptical of welcoming a stranger or going to meet him/her. I am being rather rudely practical here but we don’t really know each other anymore than we know an alien from mars…I see this pix of you in your avatar…how am I to know that this is what you look like? I’ve only your word to take for it!
Don’t get me wrong but many months back…when I was about an year old at mylot, I had formed a special friendship with a member here…he is quite aged and used to advise me on a lot of issues (incl. personal female issues)…I never minded coz he was aged and so I thought experienced enough to talk on all matters. He then introduced me to another mylotter as his wife. This went on for quite some time and I was totally taken in…one day, he said that he was coming to Kolkata on some work and wanted to meet my family and bless my son! I was like super excited (though my husband was not) and preparations were going on (like his date and time of coming etc). Luckily for me, this was in general post (not PM) and a very very judicious friend PMed me some info and a lot of discrepancies in this person’s posts and replies. It seems that this person has this habit of befriending young ladies here and can go to any lengths as he is allowed! His wife too is a hoax, but he himself in another name! I think something must have happened or somebody reported him to mylot and I have not seen that person or his ‘wife’ here on mylot ever since.

sudiptacallingu I can certainly understand you being wary after an experience like that - and thank goodness you no longer see that weirdo around on here!
If people are themselves on here, as many are, and they become friends through PM, and then email and then on the phone, the next step is to meet. It is best to have several friends rather than just one who just might be a hoax like the one you mention. I do hope you will not find yourself in that situation ever again!

Come on Sudipta, Je Lanka jay se ki rabon hoy?
I met one friend from another site in Kolkata last year and we spent together till 7 pm and I returned to Ramkrishna Mission. He was ( is) living at Khardoha.
And if I go to you I would go with all proof and you would not have any PM against me andI would not be a hoax. I am what I am. No cheating.....

Hi, wish I was back home to recieve you! I'll be very happy to meet a friend from MyLot! I'm sure no shock for me as I always meet new friends. So have you planned well where you exactly want to visit in Malaysia? Have you been to Malaysia before? Have good time there, I'm going home on November!

Hi, I'm actually Malaysian and I moved to India last year after getting married to a Keralite. Now I'm settled in Trivandrum. So you're visiting your cousin bro and touring at the same time! Where exactly your cousin lives?
Have a pleasant journey!

I think I share your views raj, what is there to be nervous about? We have been interacting in mylot for months and that itself has opened the gateway to know each other well, at least through our writings. Meeting in person does not pose a problem to me at all as my business is more on public relation and am used to meeting total strangers who patronize my joint. But since we come from mylot world, I don't consider you a stranger at all but a friend who I can safely visualize the real person you are.

Since I'm specifically mentioned here, I am more than willing to welcome you or any mylotters who wishers to visit my country. For your information Rajib, I live in Kota kinabalu and not in Kuala Lumpur (capital town). I know many people know of Malaysia and will think of Kuala Lumpur but I am in the state of Sabah, a 2 hours flight from Kuala Lumpur. Tell me the exact date of your coming so I can make arrangement to see you at the airport as I have relocated my residence and will take 3 hours drive to the airport.

I would say meet me at the mall and we will hang out. I would bring my daughter, grand son and daughter and they would show you all around. I am not that up on things. We could show you our beautiful capitol city. My kids are halarious and your sides would be in pain from laughing by the end of the day. Then we would take you to one of our favorite mexican restaurants. Yum! You would be full and happy at the end of the day. Smiling friends is what we like to see.

If I got such a call, I would come get you at the airport or wherever you were and take you to lunch or dinner. If you had time, I would show you around a bit and we would select a postcard to send to your home so you would have a memento of your visit. If you needed a place to stay overnight, you would be welcomed in my home. I've met some of my online friends from other boards and the experience was always enjoyable.

I have not yet met anyone from myLot yet, except for one of my referrals whom I have known for over 10 years now. I would love to welcome and entertain some of the awesome people I've met here into my home. I can't offer much, but I can offer some great peace and quiet, great conversations and good company, not to mention a comfy place to rest your head at night.
We have some really neat sites to see around here that I haven't been to yet and it will probably take someone coming to visit before I do. One place is called Luray Caverns. We live in the mountains and Luray Caverns are considered quite a nice tourist attraction, complete with stalagmites and stalactites. It's a place I've wanted to see since I was a child and here I am, living only a few miles from it and still haven't been there! I guess I NEED someone to visit. LOL
I would also love to be able to travel one of these days and meet some of the people I've met here whom I consider as friends. Hopefully, I'll be able to do that one of these days.
I hope you enjoy your trip to Malaysia! That is one place I would love to visit, along with Australia, England, Germany and Ireland.
Be safe!

Hi krajibg, I'd welcome them and suggest we meet at my favourite cafenion in the fishing village and share a Greek coffee whilst introducing them to all the local characters so they'd then receive a friendly welcome where ever they roam in the village. They'd probably end up with the cafenion habit, watching the world go by, gossiping about everyone who walks by, and watching the fishermen head out to sea in their boats.

Hi thea,
This is so nice of you that provided any mylotter steps in in your country and lets you know about his/her arrival you would not fight shy off. I appreciate your hosting zeal. I would really love to see the ruins of the old Athens. And Greece has ever been a fascination for me.
Thanks you very much.

Nah, but I'd welcome you, of course. :) Give some advice, point out some attractions that you might think of visiting, etc. ^_^ I would hope, too, that a fellow mylotter would do the same if I were going to visit their country!
