Growing Up most of us was not fortunate to have parents educating us about Money Management. As we reach teenage stage we spend our money as soon as we received it not thinking about tomorrow. Since the recession we have learned so much about budgeting, investments etc that we wish we were told about all of this while growing up. I am very disappointed that I wasn't taught about Money Management because I am always a kind person and never like to see persons in wants and so always giving.I am not disappointed in helping others but still I would like to have a little savings or some investments waiting for me until I am ready to retire. What is your disappointment? Were you one of the fortunate ones whose parents taught you about money management or is it that you are like me who never was taught and so working very hard in savaging what you can. K.S.C.

I was very fortunate because my parents taught my brother and me a lot about the value of money, and how important it is to save money. They weren't that business savvy, and they didn't really start investing in mutual funds until they were in their 50's, but they did their best, and that was enough. To this day, I practice what they taught me. I save money, work overtime to make extra money, and don't waste my money buying lots of stuff I don't need. I own 2 condos, one that I live in, and the other one I rent out. And I am planning on buying a 3rd. I know that these properties will help me build wealth and support me during my retirement. I have many money saving tips that I like to share on my blog: FREE Financial Advice and Business News, at http://freemoneysavingtips.blogspot.com Check them out and learn the secret to my success.

My parents raised me with little money so I got the chance to watch them and how they did their budgeting. My and hubby had very little involvement with finances. I had to help him learn, We are trying to teach our kids now while they are young so they never have a rough time learning. We are teaching our kids about savings now and we will teach them about debt later. I hope they understand it by the time they have the chance to sign up for a credit card.

I wasn't taught Money Management and now I am in bewilderment at the years that I have been so free handed instead of saving. I am now learning about budgeting and the different types of investments that are available. I have also began to read Rich Dad Poor Dad which is a very down to earth book on finances. One is never too old to learn and so I am learning and applying the things that I have learned so far.
