Well what i do to keep my pets cool i the hot seasons is that I get them all wet and I make sure that they are around the shade. I also put ice in their water. Man they go crazy drinking all the water because it is al so cold. They love it. My maltipoo also puts her feet in the water and gets the floor all wet and then its so funny to me because she lays in the puddle on the floor that she made. So what do you do to keep your pets wet in the hot seasons. You can also tell me about your pther pets not just dogs. Hope to hear from you soon. So some of yall can give me tips on what I can do so I can do the same for mine.
happy mylotting!!!bye

My poor kitty is all black and I live in an aparatment without air conditioning. I have a large pan thing that I put on the floor with a towel in it. Then I pour cool water in it and turn the fan on it. She can just snuggle up on it or roll around getting wet all over and then the fan blows on her and cools her down.
She loves it so much that she'll actually come to me and meow when the towel starts to dry out. It works very well, several others in my building have tried it and their pets love it too.

I've been told that most cats don't but my kitty seems to love water as long as she isn't submerged. She always plays with her water bowl splashing the water everywhere. If I try to give her an actual bath though I have to wear heavy duty work gloves that go up to my elbows to protect myself.

I learned the glove trick the hard way too. My cat has no tail (born that way, she's a manx) and I think she has balance issues because of it. She was walking along the edge of my toilet and fell right in. Naturally I had to give my toilet soaked kitty a bath and ended up spending half the night bandaging my arms.

Well we have three dogs and live in Florida, so keeping them cool is essential! During the summer months, we make sure to keep their hair short; two are German Shepards and one is a Golden Retriever so this is not too difficult. Other than that, Id say we have found the easiest and most enjoyable way of keeping them cool, and that's to play in the pool with them! Yes, all of our dogs love to be in the pool, and we can spend hours in there with them. The Golden Retriever likes to play fetch with a tennis ball in the pool, and he will chase that ball in the pool no matter HOW many times you throw it! He's in Heaven there :) The two Shepards do not like to chase tennis balls, but they do love to sit on the step in the deep end and just relax. As far as I'm concerned, there's no better way to keep your pets cool during the hot seasons!

Yeah I wish I had a pool for my maltipoo. She looks like she likes water because she is always putting her foot in the water bowl and making it come out. I will try it someday to get a pool and put her in it.
thanks for your comments

we have a fan in the front room so the dog can lie infront of that, he always knows where the cool places are in the house esp because we have wooden floors. We also get his hair cut short

Thanks I also do that for my pets. We have concrete floors outside in the patio but the patio is covered so they have shade and the concrete is cool as well. OH and I cut the hair of my pets too. Thanks for the comments...

I always keep my pet cool by bathing them and put some powders if i finish bathing her,and they drink much water, to ease the hot season, my birds also they bath there self if they see some water in there bowl mostly they do it daily if they know that the weather are much hotter.

My two dogs are boxers, so the already have short hair, so cutting or shaving them is not an option. If it is a warm day, they don't mind being outside, just make sure they always have water avalible. If the weather is extremely hot, we try to keep them inside to keep them cool. I know they would much rather be outside, but probably much better for them to be inside. Ice water in bowls sound like one of the best ideas if you are going to let them roam outside.

we usually let our dogs lie on the floor. cause floors have cool feeling for dogs or sometimes, we let them have their own electric fan.Ü
