I really don't understand, from news, you can always hear those celebrities abused their lives with drugs, and alcohol. They seems to have great, bright future ahead of them. They are making million of dollars per film. Why would they rather ruin their lives like that.
We all got stress, and I totally understand it. But waste millions of dollars on something that would kill you, that is not worth the price. Michael Jackson might be one of the vivid example that headlined in the news. He was in debt, and he was dependent on drugs. From my opinion, they should have better life than anybody else. Don't you agree?

I think it is the god-complex. Celebrates think because they got where they were are immune to the ills that us ordinary humans face. They are like over grown children who think that they can do dangerous things without being hurt. And they believe that they are the roles that they play, so if a celebrity is an actor and plays action adventure parts where the guy goes after the enemy with a toothpick and dispatches them, barely misses getting burnt, drinks like a fish, takes uppers and still survive and get the girl, they think they can do to.
So they think that fiction is real, and live in a fantasy world.

personally I think the idea of being a celebrity is a lot more appealing than the reality behind it. You may think that being rich and famous comes with benefits but it also comes with more disadvantages. Look at Britney Spears for example. I mean she definatly didn't make the right decisions but does anyone think that she deserves beings hounded and slaundered 24/7 but the scum of the earth? (paparatzi)
It comes with commitments no one can deal with and they literally become a slave to the public. They get chains slapped on them because everything they do is all of a sudden in the public eye and they have to set a good example...they just rebel
anyone agree?

I think its this idea around money that it solves all your problems instead most celebrities are just dysfunctional people who can easily mask their problems with money but rarely do they resolve them. Still, these tragedies are not enough and we still look up to celebrities and money; fame and fortune as the end all.
