Hello friends, due to a recent virus infection in my PC, I cm unable to install any new programs. I am using windows xp home edition. The error message I get is "could not find windows installer .msi). When I tried to install this "windows installer" , it says that your computer already has a latest version of the file and the new file could not be installed. Can some one help me out of this?

it also increases abetoles posts. i always try to return the favor when someone posts on my discussions. this was the only one i could think of something to comment on. i didnt mean any harm. i dont understand why you would get upset at me.

i'm not much expert about computer hardware and software but i use to computer almost nine years. i have been face same trouble several time and from my experience i suggest you to format C drive and install windows xp home edition again. it could be better then repair windows xp or install only windows installer.msi. After that it will workable to install all other program and software, what you like.
