Video player software for my Laptop?

I have bought a new laptop recently. i know, there are quite a few video and audio playing software. But not all files are playing in all software.Can anybody tell me which is a versatile software wherein we can almost play all the files.

Yep,VLC media player is the best audio/video player which plays almost every format. Also no need to pay for it as its free. Also very light and didn't takes much space... Has in-built audio/video conversion feature (some might not know this!) so no need to install converter softwares....... So it's a gr8 software....

hi there. u can use powerdvd or real one player. both are attractive and useful. u can use a converter software so that i can convert your desired files and play without any interruption.good luck
