Instead of having to guard Kobe Bryant , Ron Artest plans to sign with the Lakers . The two had feisty individual battle in the second round of the playoff as the under named Rockets pushed Bryant and the Lakers to seven games. Artest and Bryant often mouthed off at one another and Artest was ejected from one game for confronting a referee and claiming that Bryant elbowed him in the neck.

the championship ring has a special attraction and meaning for nba player that anyone wants to have a piece of it. it is a dream for nba players to put a ring. that's why it is no wonder that ron artest wants to join the lakers because everyone wants to be associated with a champion. and ron artest is a good player, but he needs a team to win an nba championship. his team, the rockets, are having lots of injuries from star players. goodluck artest.

Looks like a savvy trade to me. Artest wants to be there and the Lakers do need his skills. Think it will give them a real shot at repeating? Don't worry Artest and Bryant will be buddies. Count on it.

All I have to say is it will be an interesting season! Although, Artest does bring a physical game, which is an element that the Lakers have been missing for awhile
