Hi Mylotters!!
As a kid,I often used to get scolded by my mother for playing in the rains with my friends.
I often practice outdoor games as well as we used to play with soil and mud.Naturally I often came home soiling my clothes.I use to stay wet for a long time in schools and it leads to cough and cold afterwards...
I missed some classes every semester due to fever..But still I love paying in rains,if it is possible..
But nowadays,I don't prefer going out in rains as it spoils my clothes as well as shoes.....
I am surprised to see this transformation.................

When i was a kid i used to play in the rain, i love taking a bath in the rain together with my friends and cousins. We just running and running under the rain, its really a good experience for me as a kid, but sometimes i got cough and cold. I really missed those things but i can't never go back because i am already old to play in the rain. But remembering those happy days was really great. Anyway, keep on writing good discussion enjoy mylotting

"Too old?!" Who says so?!? Liberate your mind--go splash in the rain! For goodness sakes, you're only "too old" if you think you are! Besides--you could really be old someday, & UNABLE to play in the rain, being crippled with arthritis or something! You'll regret not taking advantage of one of the finest free entertainments around!

yes I used to love it in fact I still love it. last summer me and the kids were playing dodgeball outside and it began to pour down rain and the sun was still out. It ws not lightening so we continued to play we had a blast and the kids loved it. I just love the rain in general I wish it would rain some now we need it so bad and as hot as it is I would go play in it probably. LOL

[b]You were scolded? How odd! My mom used to put something like a sun-suit or a bathing suit on me, & send me out to play in it! 
I loved it! I liked seeing the rainbows, splashing barefoot in the puddles, smelling that wonderful clean air ozone smell! Wow! What a treat it was! Nothing else like it!

[b]It's too bad she didn't think of putting you in something raggedy, at least, if you didn't have play clothes. You know what? You should just get out & play in it the next time it rains! As I said in another post, it's never too late to have fun & play in the rain. There's no such thing as "too old!"

I used to play in the rain all the time. It was fun as a kid. Then when I had children of my own, we would always get stuck in horrible down pours when going shopping. We would run as fast as we could to get to the store, but still be soaked. It was like a game. Thanks for the memories that just went splashing through my head, great discussion.

thing that very pleases during the small is playing at when rain..
when still small of i and some friends often plays at ball when rain fall..
many things happened, something fallen down when wish to kick ball, something the pants declining as result of pulled same of other friend..
that is a real humorous memory and doesn't fall into oblivion...

yes i used to play in rains during my childhood but still i love rains and like to become wet during heavy rains. But as a child , rian fascinates everybody. My son nowadays is eagerly waiting for rains to come. he will examine every single cloud and asks us whether this will transform into rain. he doesn't like umbrellas and rain coats to take to schools if also it is raining.

Yes a very lot a kid is not a kid if he does not play in rains. Not only playing in rains , we also used to sail the paper boats in the rain accumlated water and if there was holi- next day or after two days. that rain water affected mud used to become source of natural color for us.
Really one one has said the following lines. Translated to engilsh:
Take this money from me, take this fame from me
Even take this youthness from me.
but return to me the days of childhood
that boats of paper ,that water of rain.

I did play in the rain when I was a kid, but I don't play with mud and soil. I won't get sick easily, so my mother will not scold me for playing in the rain. Now I don't like to go out in rains either, but if I am staying at home, I will have the intention to go out and play in the rain. I think this will bring back a lot of sweet memories to me.

I used to play in rain when I was a kid. I used to play only when small droplets of rain are falling and it is a real fun to play with those droplets and watching the black clouds and feeling the cool breeze. I miss those days !!

tuyakki, you are not alone. rainy season is one of my favourites. i used to go up onto the terrace with my cousins and chat. we used to love it. if i woke up in the morning with rain around, i would not go to school citing the rain as reason, but immediately thereafter, i would run away to play in the rain. oh, happy days, they were.

Yes, I was playing in the rain during my early childhood days. My sisters and my brothers since we only 1 or 2 years gap, hence we became playmates inside our house and in playing in the rain.
We have pics taken, where all of us were like newborn infants while we play in the rain undressed. There's a memories in here we couldn't forget. Even now when we see the rain starts we could laugh 'coz we remember those days before.
Now sometimes during outside the home when there's no chance to escape from rain, I just remove my shoes carry it with hands and I'll walk in barefoot to home! Rain really brought a human's life so hard to forget!

Whenever I can I went playing in the rain it was soo much more fun than with normal weather its just a litle more dangerous we can fall we can get sick, but it's part of a life of a kid getting on risk to have more fun, and if we get sick it doesn't matter because when we get healthy again our organism is stronger...
Now as im not a kid anymore wt i love to do on rain is playing with my girlfriend it's really romantic!

Hi there tuyakiki!
I loved playing in the rain when I was younger. It was fun especially with my friends and cousins around. We would sing and dance in the rain. I have fond memories of all these! Now that I am older, I still play in the rain every once in a while.

All the time, and I do not believe that playing in the rain causes a cold etc, a cold is caused by a virus or infection of some kind that you get passed on via the air, friends, etc. not from playing in the rain. You may get chilled once you come in out of the rain but you will not get a cold from playing in the rain.
I love letting my kids play in the rain, I just make certain it is just a warm summer rain, no thunder etc.

Hi, tuyakiki.
As you and most children, I also used to play in rain, even upto the age of about 13. I, and my cousins generally went up to our home`s big roof and played cricket.
Ah, those were great days and always used to be a great experience no matter how many times i had played in rain that season.
Well, i still play some cricket but not in rain.

yes i used to play in rains as it creates a fresh environment and fresh mind that gives us boost to do our works with great interest.in the view of science it maintains ecological balance.especially during sunny days it protect us from the heat emanating from sun.

there is nothing lke a warm mid summer shower....The warm droplets falling on your face cooling off your body. Even at my age I don't mind the rain...of course I'm not allow to slide in the mud anymore but a gentle rain there's nothng like it. A little rain never hurt anyone... I was alway healthier for it.

Oh yes I do! I remember those care free days when we play in the rain with my brothers. We usually play with paper ships and had them float in the drainage.
Unfortunately, they all go down when the rain pours so hard.
We also play just about anything we can think of.
Afterwards, mom would call us if we stayed for too long.
We would run and rinse ourselves and eat a hot porridge my dad prepared for us.
