I have reinstalled windows XP and the speakers are not working. I do i install the sound system software and where do i get it on the net.

You should visit the website for the soundcard manufacturer. You will see a link on the main page named "Support" or something similar, which will take to to the section where you can specify your soundcard and your operating system then download the driver package.
If you do not know the manufacturer, then check the documents that came with your computer.
