The 4th of July is a pretty big deal in the city where I live, so my family has big plans for tomorrow. We will be cooking a yummy red, white, and blue breakfast before heading to the parade. I will be leading the parade in the city council float and Tyler and Cody will be on the football float. Hubby and the other boys will be enjoying the parade from the sidelines hoping to catch LOTS of candy from the candy brigade. After the parade we will head to the park for games and fun. Then home for a bbq and the firework viewing.
What are your plans for the 4th of July? Do you do something
special? Do you always prepare a certain recipe/meal?

We are going to keep it a little low key this year, even though there was a concert we really wanted to attend, with fireworks afterward. It's just not in the budget.
So we thought we might do a little berry or cherry pickin'. And then have a nice cookout with some watermelon. We are thinking about taking the boat out at night and watch the fireworks on the lake, but haven't really discussed that too much yet. It would be a first time for that, and I think it would be a good time.
Hope you have a happy holiday and all goes well with your parade and barbeque!

Hello kellys3ps, this 4th of July my family have been invited over to the house by the Puget Sound to have a barbeque and watch some fireworks by the in-laws of my sister. It is also a good bye for her brother and sister-in-law as they are moving. My sister's husband had been going through chemotherapy and his brother who is a doctor moved back to help out.My sister's brother and sister-in-law are moving only 3 hours away so if they are needed they can get here faster than the last place they lived.Otherwise we do not have anything special we do on the 4th of July other than a barbeque.
