why do you think that atheists are angry, i'm sometimes an atheist, and i get very annoyed that because i dont think god is so great etc etc that i'm slated for havin an opinion, also i hate that people are allowed to stand in the street and speak about the bible but if someone were to stand in the street and argue why there might not be a god they are punished for it.

Which country do you live in - because that doesn't sound like America to me. Or democratic, for that matter. You probably live in the UK. Your national anthem is "God Bless The Queen" right?

I live in the U.S., and God has been removed from our schools and other places, so I would think atheists would be happier than ever. I'm just curious is all. I know that some Christians are real nut cases with posters, screaming in the streets, etc., and they make the rest of the Christians look bad. I know that Christians are concerned with the atheists eternal soul not going to hell, and so some of them become too exuberant. Thanks for your reply.

Well the Christians in the UK are now having a hard time of it. There was a nurse who her employers refused to let read the Bible for a dying patient, one who was dismissed because she wore a cross, Christians have been refused as foster parents and adoptive parents, Catholic Centers have been closed because they want the adopted children to be adopted by married men and women, etc. So Christians are being considered persona non grata. You have to read Lifesite News and other Christian oriented online magazines because the public media are silent about that.

The atheists I heard about mostly were the "eat drink and be merry and tomorrow we die," but the ones I think you are talking about are the ones who not only reject God and are interested in their own please and believe they are gods, but those who hate Christians especially (although they also hate anyone who believes in God or a god) and will do anything to prevent the name of God being mentioned in public, esp. the name of Jesus Christ even cause them to be jailed or in some places, executed.
The one I feel who has an intense hatred for God and consequently for Christianity, Judaism, is Richard Dawkins and he is probably angry that people still believe in God and although he wishes to see all Christians in he!! so he can laugh of them, he will be sorely disappointed.
I think these latter atheists are the kind such as the Communists and the Nazis who will increase and be part of trying to wipe God (if they can) or the mention of HIM from the world.

It intrigues me that atheists (not believing in God), try their best to get rid of the name of God and Jesus - basically atheists want to get rid of something that to them doesn't exist. And if God doesn't exist, I can't understand why they waste their time? LOL It's crazy, isn't it? The whole point of being an atheist is that there is no God to them, therefore, they should have no anger on the subject. Oh well, if I were an atheist, I wouldn't want to waste time like that. Yes, Richard Dawkins will be "sorely disappointed", you are right on. Thank you for your very thought provoking comments.

I'm an atheist and am quite happy. I have Sundays to myself, I can go shopping and not be annoyed by any Chritians. I don't live in fear of some mythical creature in the sky. I live for today not in hopes I may get a chance at a second life. I know lots of atheists and in fact we are all happy. I think Christians are just jealous because we don't worry about going to hell or any other silly non existant place.

You are in a minority I think, from what I've witnessed. And as far as Christians being jealous, I truly believe that we're only concerned with your eternal life. True Christians don't want to see anyone go down the wrong path. I admit though, some Christians come on way too strong, and that would be a turn off to me. Thank you for your time and your reply, I appreciate it much.

well, that depends on who you think atheist is. theist is someone who has a believe in god, atheist lacks the believe. people who are not sure if god exists or not, are atheist because they lack the believe. even if they think that there is a chance that god might exist, they are not sure and there for lack the believe. i'm personally an atheist. a very happy one at that. i don't think there is one all mighty, i believe that there is soul though. to me, there is only one god, and that god is LOVE.
I never really seen angry atheist to be honest, I think they have the same emotions as people who believe in god, honestly, look at all the people who would kill doctors for doing abortions, only because it's against god's will, i think they have a lot of anger.

Hi, from what I've studied, someone who isn't sure if there is a God or not is called an 'agnostic.' A person who doesn't believe in God at all is known as an 'atheist.' I have heard Larry King many times on TV say on his show that he is an agnostic. I've had the opportunity to see lots of programs with atheists, and the majority were angry. Thank you so much for your thoughts on this subject.

Atheists are people that don't want to believe that there is a God that they have to answer to. This is because of ego. It was the fall of Lucifer and his angels, it was the fall of Adam and Eve, and it was the fall of mankind. It is what keeps us separated from God for all eternity.
