Why in India cricket is a religion?

Not only in India I think the whole Asian nation are crazy about the game. Yes the unpredictability of the game makes it more and more interesting but the new formats are making it even more interesting like T20.

in reality i don't know why people in india like very much cricket ..may be ebcause india in the past was a british colony and so in uk this game is really spread too so in that time and origins english people transmitted the passion for this game in india too!!
