How to get rid of wart at home?

I had one on my foot a few years ago, was a nasty one, wouldn't go away, but eventually acid won. I would scrape the top layer of the wart with a scalpel till it would start bleeding and then would put a drop of acid on it. warts make their own capillaries to bring blood to the site of infection, so when you see blood you are getting to the part there the virus is sitting. I had to do it a few times before it was gone. someone told me that duck-tape helps too. put it on the wart and it will suffocate it. eventually wart is supposed to fall off on it's own. there might b some bleeding when it falls off though.
