NTC has signed the memorandum circular on prepaid-load (Globe, Smart, Sun, etc.) guidelines that will set the new rules on extension of prepaid load purchased by consumers. New load validity: 10-or-less load - 3 days 10-20 load - 7 days 20-30 load - 10 days 30-40 load - 14 days 40-P50 load - 17 days 50-60 load - 20 days 60-70 load - 21 days 70-80 load - 24 days 80-90 load - 30 days 100-150 load - 45 days 150-200 load - 60 days 200-300 load - 90 days 300-600 load - 150 days 600 to 1,000 load - 180 days Seems like the consumers are given a big break.

I am not really affected because i have a post paid line... but i do have a loading sim... and for sure people will be buying loads less now... since the validity is longer... like before my brother would buy All Text 20 every other day... but now it will like every other 3 days or so...

@aseretdd: this is one thing they never anticipated, the retailers like us. i too have a loading sim, though i stop selling for some times now, i feel the same, our sales will be going down too.

i just hope that it will be implemented in a nice way.and the rules might be of the same thing as it is written.and what i also hope is that the connection from different providers will be clearer. i hope this will continue because it will be a great help to everyone.

After being a big shock from Senate investigations and everything, I guess NTC has no choice but to please the Senators for making them look that they are doing something. Well good for us since we really have no other way to check how this load is being utilized by us since you only know how much is the load remaining and has no other way of knowing how many text or calls you'ved made from the load you have. Cellphone companies could indeed abuse it in some ways and good thing Senator Enrile noticed this and made effort in knowing what is really happening with it. Now, they are placed in the open then they are really compelled to do something to please him and is somewhat become advantageous to the consumers.

i just hope that NTC will guarantee about the public about it. good news then for customers like ourselves who are very independent now on telecommunications. i regularly load 30 Php every 3 days...now since that for that load, expiry date is extended then it'll be more practical for me since i am a student.

Dear insurectus, That really is a great news to all Pinoy mobile users. But wait guys, we still have to wait 15 days before it will be effective. Thas's 15 days after the MC had been published. And another reason for us not to rejoice too soon is the appeal of telecom companies soon to be heard in court. Of course, we wish that supreme court will favor the public, the consumers. Neil

Hey there! That's good news! My girlfriend would usually load 15 pesos and then the validity was so short. Good thing they're extending the validity period for all prepaid loads. Thanks for the info.

Wow that's good news.I have two cellphones one is for my globe sim card and the other is for my smart and sun cell sim card. The reason for this is that I enrolled them to the networks text unlimited features so that I can still avail of their text messaging features without having to worry from running out of load. And now that NTC has this good news for us pre-paid users, I just hope that these networks won't abolish their unlimited texting features and promos hehehe..

This is indeed a great news for all Filipinos who have mobile phones and who are on prepaid accounts since you do not need to consume all of your load immediately. I just hope that the problem with diminishing load can be resolved also not just the expiration of the load. In this modern times, more and more people rely on mobile phone in all their endeavors and therefore should not be abused by the telecommunications company.
