Playing video and PC games

I like to play games as much as the next person but I am amazed at how many adults spend several hours in front of video game systems and game websites. When I was young games like Centepede and Space Invaders were the rage. Technology has come a long way since then and I am just amazed at all the role playing and simulator and war and other games there are out there.
I thin that it might be nice to have a wii since you get up and move with the sports games.

I think the major reason we are seeing adults spending hours playing video games is for a quite simple reason: they don't have the chance to do just take when they are young. I mean for the adults, video games at home is something like fantasy. So, when video games are getting so popular and so affordable, many adults can't help playing them all the times.

But I have seen adults neglect their responsibilities and tell others they are busy and all they are doing is playing video games all day and night.

Hi, I used to have a spectrum 48 and 128k as a kid and I thought it was the bees knees...now I'm "mature", I love the idea of playing with people all over the world on mmorpgs, absolutely fantastic, I get the kids tucked up in bed, then spend a couple of hours sinking into fantasy land..its great to get rid of the days anxieties :)

That's great! It seems like you have a handle on managing your time so the gaming doesn't interfere with your responsibilities.

All the games out there now is definitely make it much more tempting to laze around and play video games. I think though that those who are used to playing Atari and then later the first nintendo games, amiga games, are finding the newer games just a wow! They are very fun, but I do enjoy playing Pac Man just the same. Wii Games are more beneficial with the ability to stand up and play golf, tennis ( I think) bowl, hula hoop, and much more!

I feel the same way. Except I haven't been a hardcore gamer that far back. I've been a hardcore gamer since the 90's. I spend countless hours on PC Gaming as well as Xbox/PS3 Gaming. Hell, over the summer I play games overnight.
