What do you think? Who is a better player? Kobe or Lebron?
In the last two seasons of the NBA, these two players won the Most Valuable Player(MVP) award with Kobe Bryant winning the MVP during the 2007-2008 season and Lebron James winning the 2008-2009 MVP award..
I think, in terms of maturity and leadership, Kobe has the advantage. Kobe has been here for many seasons and have already many experiences and achievements. Remember, Kobe won 4 NBA championships with the Lakers. But on the other hand, Lebron James is one of the hottest NBA superstars right now. He has the ability to be the next Michael Jordan. But he is lack of experience and leadership that Kobe Bryant already possess. So I think, Kobe is a much better ball player right now.

If I had to pick either LeBron or Kobe right now I would say LeBron. He is the only player in the league who has potential to average a triple double. He has great instincts and makes everyone around him a better player. Anderson Varejo looks like an All-Star power forward with LeBron. If he was on any other team he would be just an average big man. I'm not trying to take anything away from Kobe. Koben is an amazing basketball player. He is a scoring assassin and has matured into a great defensive and team player. He has 4 rings, which is 4 more than LeBron. However, I think rings are a deceptive when measuring these two against each other. LeBron has not had the supporting cast that can catapult him to a championship. Whereas Kobe has been on teams with other great players such as Shaq, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, and Lamar Odom. LeBron has been unable to find his Gasol and Odom, however, he does have Shaq. Remember, even Jordan had Pippen and Rodman.
Despite my opinion, I think the only way we can compare LeBron and Kobe is we have to wait until the end of their careers and see what they both accomplish. LeBron is compared often to Oscar Robertson and he did not win his first championship until eleven years into his career. We will just have to wait and see.

Wow! What a nice comment. I agree with you that we can't compare them until their career is over. You amaze me man. Even if you're just a newbie in this site, the content of your post has full of sense and meaning. And for that, I have chosen your post as the best response. Happy posting

both kobe and james are great players. if the measurement of greatness is the nba championship, then kobe is greater than james. having won the championship four times, kobe ranks higher in that respect. however, james has more impact to his team than anyone else in the nba. take away james to the cavaliers, itis hard to imagine the team as competitive and contender. but the lakers can do well even withoput kobe because pau and lamar and other role players will still be there.

Alright, this is going to be a debate for a while, but right now, the best player is LeBron no questions asked, I would go as far as to put Wade #2, followed by Kobe. This may be a shocker to some, but by the end of their careers heres how I think we will rate these 4 guys. 1.LeBron, 2.Durant, 3.Kobe, 4.Wade
