What do people think about ebay? Anyone been there for a long time? I am curious, is it really worth trying to sell on ebay? I make handmade hand-painted whilrigigs and other yard decor. I am thinking that people on ebay probably would not pay the price they are worth. What do you think? Thanks! Happy 4th!!

Well I myself do use ebay often. I use to sell a little but mainly shop. As for you I think it might be very well worth for you to give it a try only because some people search for home-made stuff. Plus what you do sounds like they would be very beatiful art work. May I ask how much are you asking? Plus Ebay has this great option to have an ebay store which I think would be the best bet for you because of the fact that you basically have a business going on. I say give it a try for a couple months and see what happens. I could give you really good tips on how to get the most out of ebay. Lets say you were selling something that you want to get say 10 dollars for, then the best bet is to start it at around 2.99-4.99 because then this way people will bet on your item and also the betting war will start and by the time the auction is done you might just get lucky and make more. Now when it comes to the Shipping and Handling you want to go by with what the shipping charges are but you also want to charge for packing the stuff. Like say for the box, stuffing peanuts, and newspaper you would want to tack on a price for that. Like my mom usually charges an extra 1.25 for packing because now days it gets pricy to pack the items and to protect them from breaking and all. I hope that I helped you out greatly. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.

Hi Seppy1984!
Thanks for your post!
I had noticed some kind of like ours, only I draw the designs for ours, and we seal ours with weather seal, but the ones I saw on Ebay were really low priced. I figured that no one would even go to ours. The highest price we have is $25.00 for a tweety whirligig. He is a good size. Then, there is the blue jay whirligig, which takes me a few days to do, as it has much more detail than the ones I have seen and I drew that pattern, but we got $20.00 for one around here, and I think they are worth more than that. We have some yard art birds for $5.99 each, so maybe we should try those first. Plus the shipping wouldn't cost much and maybe people will like that, too? Thanks for your comment and info. I greatly appreciate it!

You are very much welcome. Also put in your artical that you make these by hands and that everything on them are one of a kind. To be honest I would buy them for the price you are offering. I personally think it is a great deal since they are hard to come by anymore. My mom use to make them a lot or at least I do believe she did because she use to make so many crafts when I was younger. Well Good Luck in all you do.

i think ebay should be a good network to sell or buy something so in auctions may eb it should one of the mostt improved one!!I think soemtimes there were problems linked to that and so soem people cna be not realy stisfied but i think it will be quite difficult that in a network like that such as so big all things can come so perfect as we can guess the first time we join in ebay too!!i think the best deal to be a seller on ebay that you can add really new people that can buy your items too and even some that you can't imagin before!!so normally i have a positive opinion on ebay evn if i know that if you are a buyer there you should also be careful to some not honest seeler which they are present in ebay network too but i think that the mjoirty should b honest and trustful!!

Hi tonyllenium,
Thanks for your opinion. I will take note of what you said. :o) I did have a hard time to make out what you said and want to suggest that your writing improve some, for your benefit, and I am pretty sure that mylot looks for good grammar, spelling and organized, in order, sentences. Just trying to help you. Some people will not read things if they aren't easy to understand. It highlights misspelled words in here as you type and you can go back and fix them and it is worth it to correct spelling and other errors. You will please others and earn more money. :o) God bless you! Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it!
