They say that banks rule the world. Is that why Obama wants to take over the banks?

I don't think Obama wants to take over the banks, I do think he wants the government to make every effort to keep the banks running and open. Remember that the funds in most banks are federally insured, meaning that if the banks close, the government has to pay the people that had money in those banks. Our government is broke enough without that extra monetary burden.

The thoughts run the entire spectrum. I am of the suspician...mind you, I siad suspician that there are forces behind the scenes at work. The federal reserve is one key player, a private institution that runs with no over sight, no control from the people and in ties with the IMF and other international banking institutions, ties that at least to me, seem a little too tight for comfort.

Collectively, banks are an extremely important cog in the world's gears, but they do not rule, nor does President Obama have any plan in place to "take over" any banks. If someone wants that kind of power they generally do not go into politics in America. The answers you've received so far seem to have spelled out what is really occuring.

No, but I do believe that there are a couple billionairs behind the scenes running the world bank and our Presidents Bush included do the bidding for them. It just doesn't make sense the crap both parties don't do to get us back on track.
