4th 0f july

We are a country of gimme, gimme, gimme! That's why we celebrate the fact that we owe our country to a bunch of rich white slave-owners that didn't want to pay their taxes.

4th of July is whatever anyone makes it to be, in this case if you do not want to celebrate don't. To me it means that I am proud to be an American, that I can live in a country where people can pursue their dreams, yes, we have hard times but it is not the first time in history Americans have hard times. I do not like that young men and women are far away from home, but a lot of them are proud of what they are doing. It is not all about spending money, no matter what day it is you were planning to eat today right? if one overeats if has nothing to do with the holiday but with our habits.

The original intent of Independence Day was to celebrate the signing of the Constitution. And the idea of a free nation governed by law and not a respecter of men. Our government has moved away from the limits imposed by the Constitution in order to take more power to themselves these days, so if anything July 4th should be a reminder of the responsibilities we as voters bare in choosing our elected representatives for honor and character.
